7 - Ferran Torres

Horatio

You're welcome
Imo, looks like young Dave Gahan, a singer from Depeche Mode:

Like I said looks like Reese from Malcolm in the Middle. This Dave Gahan also looks like him.

Pep (and City) were reportedly fine with letting Bernardo go as well and he's undoubtedly phenomenal. I wouldn't make too much of it.

For Ferran to be a bust there have a lot of things to go wrong. He's the kind of player you happily take as your #3 in attack. #1 and #2 are the problem right now.

I can already see the club and media/fanbase weaknesses setting in with this guy. Instead of being satisfied with players being good in the right system, we expect them to move mountains and turn into the next Messi/Ronaldinho/Cruyff/Rivaldo, etc figure.

A club like Barca is peculiar. We always look for saviors and close our eyes at the many others that should contribute more, but do jack shit.

A player like Milner or Henderson would never ever ever get a fair deal here.

As for Pep letting people go. He's sitting on a throne surrounded by mountain of gold with ability to get any of the worlds best and renowned players in his side with a wave of a hand. He doesn't need to concern himself that some of his large and deep squad of elite players gets away, especially, if they want themselves so. He's a fucking sheik, who can buy new tiki taka slaves on a whim so shuffling players in and out is probably trivial to him unlike for current Barca management that is going around with pauper bag begging for scraps.

Pep also bought Cygrinsky. Or sold Eto'o for Ibrahimovic. He is not a god you know. He had his flops too.

Pep got rid of Yaya, Etoo, Zlatan and Mandzukic.
He fought with them due to personality.
Pep doesn't like strong personalities.

In the case of Yaya and Zlatan, he also had superior players in Busi and Lewa.

But still, he never sells good players, only bad players.

There are so many indications that Ferran is meh:
1. we picked Trincao over him
2. Pep has let him go easily, he has even milked us
3. Man City fans saying that he was usually invisible
4. he is already meh as a winger for us

We bought a player based on his NT friendly matches performances.

Pep has been willing to sell many players that wanted to leave and at City they have an abundance of players in last third of the pitch.

Laporte/Silva/Cancelo etc all could have gone in recent times if fee met and those fees were similar if not less than Torres.

They had too many players for similar positions.

Why are you so reluctant to name a player or type of player should have got instead?

1. We made a mistake. Trincao sucks.
2. City didn't let him go easily.
3. Most city fans were angry they let him go for what they considered such a low price
4. He might be meh in the future you never know but so far he's been great.
