7 - Ferran Torres

Still waiting for the day he stops blasting it into row Z when he attempts that upper right corner curler. Needs more power and a better dip on that. Scored a great goal vs Athletic in Copa with that shot, but every single attempt since then has been abysmal. It's like his technique is wrong when hitting those.

There was a time when Egyptian fans were saying same thing for about half decade about a certain promising winger, although in his case it was the left one.
Let's hope for similar end to this story

I will never forget Salah's game with Roma against Madrid. That was so disappointing how wasteful he was. He could've easily knocked them out. If one did not know better one would think he was a pace-merchant and nothing more. His growth has been tremendous since.

First time I see him after many games, that he doesn't lose his shit when he ends up 1 v 1 with the keeper.

I liked that.
Make it permanent.
XAvi train his finishing more, and he will turn into a top signing

I know right. That goal vs. Bilbao was class. Such a Villa-like goal. Made me so excited that we finally have a proper goal scoring winger again (a.k.a the Neymar/Villa replacement). Really hoping he can become that for us long term. I do think LW should be his primary position, even when Fati comes back. With Fati sadly injury prone Ferran will get plenty of playing time anyway, plus I'd actually hope that Xavi starts training Fati in the CF position, especially if we don't manage to get Haaland (which I think will be the case). Fati's deadly finishing (exactly the opposite of Ferran) would make much more damage in that central role, and with all these big injuries he'll lose a lot of pace too, was already visible the first time he came back, now it'll be even more, so I don't think playing on the wing will suit him that much anymore, especially since the club and him will be even more careful not to burst down the wing and get injured again. I'd like to see Fati's training to CF begin this summer actually, he won't (shouldn't) play much this season anymore anyway, then it's about doing a good preseason and having almost 3 months to train him and get him gradually used to that CF position.

Ansu just needs to be healthy forget speed. He never relied on it. His finishing and goal scoring instinct is his best qualities. Plus he is 5'10" so definitely can put on some more muscle and be our new Eto'o at CF. We have to have fast or tricky wingers that is one of Xavi's major tenets. I think Fati at 9 or false 9 will happen.

Looks very natural on the left, which makes it even weirder that his self-proclaimed best position is RW. You would think that a player who is so comfortable cutting inside would prefer to play inverted forward.

Anyway, Ferran and Auba are the first two names on the team sheet offensively for me.

While the talk is about his 'finishing' being poor, I feel it's actually slightly different and it is his 'shooting' that is really poor at the moment. In terms of close range finishing and finesse type of goals, I think he seems okay, as evidenced by his cool penalty as well. It's the medium to long range shots where he has to put his foot through the ball where he really seems to struggle. I know he scored that golazo against Bilbao, but in general, if you take a look at his shots that don't go in, he doesn't seem to be even close to the target.
