Madness. He's not. The idea is not to sign 4 or 7 players. The point is that the price is insane compared to more reasonable options. Get Lemar, get Seri, get Fabinho or some other more reasonable option. Dont go nuts for this dude. Its embarrassing to see us do this when Bayern buy Gnabry for 8m, RM buy Ceballos for 17m and we buy Paulinho and Coutinho for 190m. Dont make up excuses about inflated market or Neymar money. There is no excuse for this. We are the one inflating the market with our corrupt madness.

Phillipe Coutinho will not back down. His decision to play in Barça is more than taken and is ready to cast the order in order to achieve his objective of wearing Barca.
After last Friday formally requested the transfer request to Liverpool, which already used a harsh tone demanding the club of Anfield to sit down to negotiate with Barca and let him leave, the Brazilian midfielder has taken a step further there. As he has learned, Coutinho has even told his coach, Jürgen Klopp , that he does not plan to wear Liverpool again. Even at the risk of losing the World Cup next season in Russia, Coutinho is determined to throw the rest so as not to miss out on his great opportunity: signing for Barca.
The Canarinha international, who arrived in Anfield in January 2013 and has played 180 games in his five seasons with 42 goals, believes he has always been honest and has shown his respect for Liverpool and his hobby. That is why, after having first asked formally and amicably, Coutinho has raised the pitch and is willing to stay on the stand all season if the club does not facilitate his departure. Yesterday, officially did not play against Hoffenheim due to back discomfort. It was the first warning
I hope Liverpool bench him for the rest of his remaining 5-year contract, then. Lets see if he's truly willing to sacrifice his career as well. Ungrateful Brazilians, him and Neymar. At least Suarez agreed to give the club one more important season for them.

No excuses needed. Signing Coutinho is what we need and if they ask for more than he's worth, so be it. Our need to improve the squad is more important than the market or our pride on overpaying. Just give them what they want. If I was stranded in the middle of nowhere with no gas in my tank am I going to refuse to spend 5 dollars a gallon at the only gas station when I know I have the money, or am I going to just walk?
Coutinho is not the only player in the world that can strengthen our team. But we act like it if we pay 150m euros for him, especially in this situation where Coutinho is giving Liverpool a tough choice.
