Samper is not good enough to be a starter, neither is Denis.
I know we are trying to be positive and optimistic here, but reality has definitely got a part to play in PROGRESSION.

Did you even watch Coutinho, and seri?

They can't be backup plan to each other, because they don't play the same.

Seri should have been backup plan to Verratti if people had any clue of what they are talking about, but people comment on players/clubs they didn't even watch playing.

I know they are different type of players but I think Seri would play in Iniesta position if he comes and Coutinho won't. We already have too many players for RCM position.

Who is better? Gomes, Rakitic
give me a break
none of those can play possession nor keep the ball

MD saying buying Seri will not block buying Coutinho.

So Seri is not his replacement.

It's MD, they will continue to talk about Coutinho until the last day.

But let's say they are correct and we'll buy Seri and Cou then I think its' very likely we won't get Dembele so in that case Cou would be used (at least in most games) as LW and Seri would still be our best option (besides Iniesta himself who we probably all agree can't be a full time starter anymore) to play in Iniesta role alongside Roberto/Raki/Paulinho. Of course I could be wrong but we won't know for sure until we sign Seri and see how Valverde would use him.

I still believe that Liverpool will refuse to sell Cou "at any price". So unless we are prepared to pay let's say 150M upfront then they would maybe change their mind. But there is no indication we are willing to do that and as said before I support the club with the decision to not overpay for him. Hopefully they won't get crazy and pay that fee in the last days of transfer window. I like Cou and he would improve our team a lot but just don't think he's worth that much even in this market. There are cheaper alternatives and I think Seri is the best and most available to us right now. And I will repeat - I'm aware they are not same type of players.

People continue to talk about Xavi and Iniesta replacements but times have changed. We don't need to replace former Xavi position with player of similar style (Verratti, Seri) and Iniesta with Coutinho to make our midfield work again. Yes, that would be perfect but if it's not possible doing it right now I'm willing to give a chance to let's say Roberto-Busquets-Seri midfield and see how they'll do.

But let's first sign some players and then worry how and where they'll play.

Unless that rat Barto makes the decision to tap into next year transfer budget then I don't think we'll be getting Seri + Coutinho + Demeble.

have been watching Liverpool. Cant see Coutinho is missing tbh..

I don't agree. You could clearly see they were lacking creativity in the midfield. They were mediocre against Crystal today, as well as against Watford (they scored 3 times, but still, the midfield wasn't great) and Hoffenheim.

The Catalan club has managed to do something which has served as a source of amusement for Liverpool’s power brokers. Barcelona have informed Liverpool that they have until Sunday evening to change their mind on Coutinho or it will be withdrawn. (Paul Joyce)
