Would wager we can win La Liga without Iniesta.
Also, getting Coutinho now could disrupt the team balance and Valverde is yet to integrate Dembele.

That formation would work with a Kante. Not sure Busquets and Rakitic/Paulinho are enough cover for the defence. Between the front four we have no defence. Maybe against canon fodder it could work. Against the big dogs we'd get run over.

Even against cannon fodder we would struggle with that team. No balance at all. Constant loss of posession. Would get murdered in midfield and on the counter.

Nah, they'd be too scared to even cross the half-way line with more than 2 players. Even peak Barcelona conceded counters but that's the risk.

However for that to work we need someone better than Rakitic. Either a possession god or a speed/stamina freak workhorse.

I'm not an expert though. That's why we have people earning millions. To figure it out.

Spain won the worldcup using a 4-2-3-1. only one on this team who'd most likely lose possesion is Suarez.

Not a smart move from lpool if they sell him now, imean, they are still in CL, fighting for top 4 in the legaue, selling hin would really lower their chances for everything.

Dont understand cou also in that case, no CL and playing only in la liga nd copa del rey and wc is coming

If we get him there are lots of formations we can use. Iniesta is still playing fantastic. Using him on right as a controller while moving Coutinho to the left would also be nice to see. We can play without Suarez and use lots of midfielders like Spain did 2010 WC in tougher games. We can go a bit more offensive with Coutinho on the wing and only two midfielders.

I still dont think we will get him this winter.

The only advantage I can imagine is if they get one of their targets like Lemar and sign him before Arsenal or Chelsea go after him next summer. Doubtful if Monaco is ready to sell. They are out of CL, but they already lost many of their starters last summer.

For Cou: He knows that there will come many more CL seasons and better chances to win it with Barcelona. A world-cup is just all 4 years. Playing it well-rested could be in his own interest.

Spain won the wc using Xavi as the most advanced center mid, lol. With a double pivot of Busi and Alonso. Also Messi loses the posession plenty of times, always willing to create a dangerous chance. A 4-2-3-1 with Messi as the CAM will be very unbalanced.

Almost a day to go for the announcement, still a better wait than the ending of 2017 which was horrible for me at least. Something to look forward to...

messi's been losing the ball a lot only this season. and that's because he's being selfish as he only has suarez in front of him. you mean to tell me that our starting XI can't keep possesion even if we don't have Xavi? yea nice joke
