Big tactical error to put him on the right.aces
When he actually got to play more in mid, he did well.

Iniesta - Paulinho - Rakitic - Coutinho. It just becomes to clustered.

Yeah, we absolutely need Busi. Every other guy from that list likes to bomb forward way too much. You could see on their counters the spaces down the middle as everyone and their mother were trying to score.

imo we can't play with Iniesta AND Coutinho AND in front Messi and Suarez
imo Coutinho is the natural replacement of Iniesta....who unfortunately is not eternal

Yeah too many cooks. We were getting destroyed on the break with no Busi as well. Imagine if that was Real.

Coutinho came on for Iniesta the other night and was magic. You can't balance him, Iniesta and Messi into the side when they all like to drop off. You'd need Messi as a false 9 or Coutinho to stay left. Then you've got Paulinho as well.

Coutinho should play in league and Iniesta CL.

This. Paulinho and Rakitic don't like to stay down. They like to go forward, too much.. Busi is perfect in his role, so of course tough to replace him.

BS He rarely put his foot wrong even in tight situations. Overall bad play is on Valverde and probably tiredness mostly.

Wasn't bad but certainly wasn't good either , game passed him by. Was looking forward to seeing him with Iniesta , didn't go to well. The excuses about him out of position are nonsense , for £140m he should be able to play anywhere.

He's moved onto an all knew level of play , hopefully he rises to it.

We can't play with 3 players with free roles. Paulinho is a bombing forward CM, Coutinho was playing all over the MF and Messi does what he wants (as he should). So we lost the team's integrity. Not to mention Pique.

Both Iniesta and Coutinho can exist in the same line up only if we use the 4-3-3 formation with the later playing LW. Hope EV sees that

Agreed.
There was chaos in the midfield with everybody everywhere getting in eachother's way with no plan.
I think the biggest problem was Paulinho because today he was supposed to play as second pivot beside Rakitic in Vslverde's 4-4-2 but he was playing as a CF just for fun.

Such an unnatural lineup. Messi was almost exclusively to the left of Coutinho (and even to the left of Suarez at times). When they both were moving down the middle sometimes it looked very uncomfortable and they couldn't find the angles to combine well. Paulinho too having 0 positional discipline got in the way a lot and the positioning of all 3 of them just looked like a lot of stepping on toes and interference.

He did way better in 20 minutes vs Espanyol than over 60 today, and he did much better in the few actions he had down the left side compared to the right. It was just super uncomfortable for him carrying the ball and initiating, and he couldn't open his body up to play all the most deadly passes he looks for.

Iniesta is much more suited to play RCM or RAM/RW than Coutinho is.

If Busi was out there instead of Paulinho, i think we would have looked a lot better and so would Coutinho as Busi would link between our players way better. Busi would link everyone better. Rakitic a little bit advanced would also benefit.

And thats why i want a player like Arthur that can balance out the attack and midfield and play a deeper role but still infront of Busi, like Xavi did.
Theres to many wanting to go forward. Paulinho is playing further up the field than Suarez most of the time..
