I wish he stays in Liverpool for as long as possible and start attracting players of his caliber to the club so they return to kick some ass.

Liverpool need Rafa back. Rodgers is a midtable manager right now, and doesn't yet have the experience required to take them to the next level. The financial backing is there, the squad is getting there, but they are drawing/losing far too much against smaller clubs. Those points dropped add up

It's not even the smaller clubs that have been a problem. I think Liverpool had something like 1 win against the top 8 clubs. There are a lot of questions marks around Rodgers.

I don't know about that. Rodgers seems fine to me. It's not his fault that Skrtel and Reina both gave 2 easy goals against City both in 1st and 2nd games, not his fault that Suarez held his hand up high to give Chelsea a penalty, or when Gerrard missed a penalty against WBA or those horrible misses from Suarez against Zenit in Russia. He's inexperienced of course but looks like he's learning from his mistakes and with some additions here and there on his current squad without losing players, I see Liverpool capable of competing for a top 4 finish next season.

yh because rafa has such a great record with draws.

i like what rodgers has done. as for the bad record against top 10 teams i think its a matter of not converting great performances into wins and u can't blame him, we went half the season without a CF. deserved wins against city home/away, man utd home a few more.

my only problem with rodgers is bad substitutions... still think we could have done the comeback vs zenit if it weren't for the subs.

Indeed. Liverpool have been a match for most of the big teams, if not out played them. Plus don't forget that this isn't his squad yet, it's a squad in transition both in personnel and style. Next season will be the real test.

I definitely think that Rodgers should be given more time. He's already improved the team even if the table doesn't show it. I think it can just get better.

However, bit of a disturbing rumor in Gazzetta today that if Roma can't get Allegri as their coach next season that they're going to look at Rodgers. Hope not, or if they do that he says no and stays at Liverpool. It's only going to hurt the project having to get another new coach. He seems like someone who's building as if he's going to stay for a while though.

It's been the opposite this season! We can't beat the teams above us (only beat Spurs) but have done very well against teams below us bar the odd slip ups (Viila, Southampton etc).

Why would Rodgers want to manage a smaller club?!

Sacking Rodgers would be stupid. He's improved the style and the quality, as well as offloading some hefty wages (Joe Cole...)

Is he getting called up for Brazil? It's stupid that they would reminisce and call up a has been like Ronaldinho or Kaka yet overlook such a talent who could seriously be the real central focal point of the team instead of Oscar. Coutinho would add much more flair and creativity to the Brazil side as opposed to a less technical and more static Oscar.

But if Liverpool do continue to improve next season (esp. if Cou is instrumental to that) I think he has a good chance of being selected for the WC squad. That's why I said "only a matter of time".
