7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
He's not been bad at all.

In fact been very good since he joined.

Not his fault he's played out of position. Btw when he played RW for Brazil he often dropped to the middle with Jesus going to the RW, interchanging a lot.

In the current setup he's kinda stuck in a position with less movement and neutralized his ability to cut in as a right footed player.

With Iniesta leaving he'll move to his position.

It is very simple. People who know nothing use 'straw men.'

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

It helps them when they don't have an argument like you don't on here with your zero knowledge and personal attacks.

No one said Countinho's best position was the right wing. We just said correctly he is familiar with it - which he is. Because you did not have a leg to stand on besides your vulgarity - you stated the right wing is not his 'best position.' However no one said it was his best position. So what you are doing is turning a civislised debate to sewage. That is why you are going on the ol ignore list! Sleep well!

Personal attack? Just because I said you don't make sense or you can't read? Ok Mr. sensitive, a personal attack would be more like me calling your behavior as an Argumentative Personality Disorder APD and cantankerous. Google them if you don't understand it, few people suffer from it in this forum. The whole argument started when you said he did look like 50m, not 160m, To simplify my reply to you so you can understand, I said is he would look 160m if he plays in his favorite position, where we can get most of his skills. Your counter argument which doesn't make sense, we paid 160m so he can play anywhere, AND he played few times in other positions. Again, it doesn't make sense!

Now, I will leave you to debate with more civilized people as I'm the straw man.

I was making an argument for playing Dembele over Coutinho in the clasico for this very reason. He doesn't have the pace to go down the wings and his play is nullified with the presence of Roberto/Rakitic being the ones starting the plays on his side.

As I said before the game, people were asking who to start Dembele over? It was obvious that a pure RW would be required to exploit the space Marcelo leaves. Look at our first goal.

This was a game where iniesta had to play so I can understand coutinhio playing on the right but if this becomes the norm....

His best position is still on the left side of midfield. His best games for us have come from that spot.

He likes to cut in from the left and shoot with his right. The goal he scored against Girona is a typical example of that.

I stated he didn't play like a €160 million player on sunday - but instead a €50 million player.

I received a warning for that post for 'trolling.' I think it is best I leave this forum as the moderation is pretty appalling. I will stick to the Catalan forums from now on however it has been a good eye opener meeting international Barça fans.

Guys been here many years. Enjoyed most of it and met some super cules! Take care everybody and never be ashamed or bullied for an opinion on a player - whether you rate them or not! Remember Barcelona is a European club and in Europe one can comment on how you think a player played without being punished.

However most importantly guys and girls:

Visca Barça!!!

All my love!

he is not playing good at all.. total diseapearance is not excused by position switching.. but at least coutinho shows flashes of what we want.

He is a forward or attacking midfielder at best. Yes, he should b on the left.

If that bone headed Valverde wasn't so much in love with Suarez we'd play Coutinho, Messi and Dembele upfront.

Is that necessary? I don't think that's trolling (rather a fact) but that's not the point here.

I write in a few forums (related to what I do and some interests) and actually think that moderation here is pretty good. They are easy-going, accessible and often constructive... why does a single warning upset you so much? I believe (never had a need to check) it can be communicated with the moderators.

Anyways, all the best if you leave, but it'd be a shame.

I received a similar warning for stating a player had a poor performance in a game last year. Told I was trolling. Others have also experienced the same. I told the mod at the time it was not in the spirit of the West - the warning stayed however. I thought if it happens again - time to move on. It did and it is my time. I post on around 5 other football forums - never has anyone been warned for commenting on a player's performance in a game - however they are all Western style forums. Critiquing a player's performance is not seen as a punishable offence.

I had a good time on here and appreciate many of the cules I posted with over the years. Take care Joan Laporta!

We should have bought Hazard instead of Coutinho, I'm afraid he's just a very good player, not really a world class and certainly not worth 150 mil. €. Just terrible, terrible planning with using Neymar transfer money and spending it on two players that can't fit in.

What drugs have u taken?

Sunday was not his best game, he was pretty invisible on offense. He did help on defense, better than Iniesta did. Valverde did well choosing to take Coutinho off. He'll be more ready for the clasico level of play next time.
