He looked better when Arthur was subbed in. They combined well in short spaces. Because of Valverde's tactics, they won't be able to communicate as well if Arthur plays RCM because of how rigid the midfield 3 are.

I'd rather Coutinho LW Messi CF Dembele RW at this point... Dembele played RW last season remember. I'm the big supporter of Suarez but he brings NOTHING right now.. his starting spot is guaranteed however bad he plays and that's not right. Also you saw Messi in that CF position towards the end.. nearly scored 2 with keeper save and hit the post.. then he did score in that position.

Since the team will take a while to gel, keep him on the left. He scores, he assists and he's a dribbling machine. Most of our starters didn't have a pre-season, for now we should trust what works. We looked like proper La Liga winners with him, Suarez and Messi in those last 20 minutes.

It's insane how he always creates space for himself when he cuts inside. It's pretty much Robben level now. You know what he's going to do but teams can't stop it.

It's because he's got insane close control, good acceleration, excellent agility and more importantly, no back-lift with his passing and shooting. Look at the goal he scored against Real Sociedad (Iniesta's farewell match). The ball was glued to his feet and yet he curled it in with pace from 30-odd yards out.

So obvious he should be playing LF just as its blatantly clear Demebele works better on the right side.

Need to fit Suarez though. :valverde2:

I think he's just getting more time to regain fitness after WC. Or Valverde wanted to start with Dembele's speed or give him some time against a lower level side. Coutinho will start every major game.
