He's doing much much better this half. Making the right the decisions and not just looking to dribble and shoot at every opportunity.
Hopefully this gives him confidence for future games. Just waiting for the 80min sub for dembele from Valverde lol

Better today. Still not great in that way that I would pick Dembele all day, every day over him if I had to. Best would naturally be to have them both on the pitch, but it seems a certain someone doesn’t think so. Thought he did great when he was moved into midfield tonight.

I don't like him as a LM in a 4-4-2
i know valverde needs to prove a point that messi suarez cou and dembele can all play at once but it's so much better for the team as a whole if we stick to 4-3-3

Yep, he is a very good passer. Don't know why he runs with the ball for such long distances when he doesn't have the engine for that. Just play first touch simple but effective football and he'll be very good for us as an AM.

It's not risky at home in La Liga. Would be a pretty balanced midfield. Power and steel and tackle ability with Vidal, control with possession and press resistance with Arthur, and penetration with Coutinho who has the creativity to really exploit spaces.

That was kind of my thinking as well but I'm not sure how disciplined Vidal is in that position. We are also very vulnerable on the break with that selection of players but on the positive side I think we'd be able to control more of the game.

Busquets doesn't have the physical attributes to cover for that type of midfield imo. Hence me suggesting Vidal.
Could still work though, just feel we'd even be more vulnerable with Busquets as the dm on the counter.
