Liverpool's position is clear, they say they will not sell him, that is respectable.
Coutinho will have to submit a transfer request and refuse to train. Then we will see how big of a club they are.

Barca are prepared to break the £100m barrier for the Brazil international. That might have been tempting back in June but not now.

Such an eye-watering amount of cash would be of little use to Liverpool as this stage of the window. Trying to fill the void would be impossible.

He supposedly has a great relationship with Couthinho yet he's prepared to stand in his way and possibly derail a great career !?! There is every chance he'd win trophies and awards and be loved by the Barca fans - Wheras he will likely win NOTHING with Liverpool .

Coutinho can move to Barca next summer if he is too keen on Barca. I really understand Klopp decision, he said it himself that the timing is wrong and they can't have a proper replacement for Coutinho. I'm sure he would have let him go if we knocked the door a month back not now. You can't sink a ship full of people just to save one.

Again, if he says "I want to leave now" they WILL take it. Is he gonna do it? Probably not, he seems super profesional. But 120m euros with player saying "sell me" would be a way out for FSG to say "we accepted only because he wanted to go".

That would have happened if Liverpool have had a good transfer window. Keita wanted to come to Liverpool, but refused by the club management, so in this case with Lallana being injured, Coutinho won't be let go of unless a really crazy bid of 150M upwards comes for him

Too late, unless he does a Dembele. The first bid should have been closer to a 100m. We're wasting time here. This isn't Paulinho we're trying to sign.

Liverpool will not sell. As someone said above, what could Liverpool do with £100m plus now?

We should have got our deals done back in June..... we might have got them for cheaper.

Well it's all pointing to Liverpool keeping Couthinho albeit being AGAINST his will !
I'm thinking his heart won't be in playing for them given his desire to play with Messi and for Barca . He's apparently told Klopp he wants to go but won't cause a situation or go on strike or even hand in a transfer request - sounds too nice for his own good ( and career ) tbh .
I expected more from Klopp though . He should consider the lad's future I think ..

Fuck off without us he'd be at inter being a reject somewhere after multiple loans to average la liga teams. He will give us 100% as always

Apparently Messi and Suarez called him.

Muhahahahahahaha

On a serious note, if it isn't Barca it's going to be PSG & Moneymar. Liverpool is fighting a lost battle.

Coutinho might be too chicken/shy to rebel but another year of winning nothing should drive her over the edge.
