Spinning around made Xavi a huge thing and is not that easy, you need ball control and good knowledge of your environment.
You can't control games while not being able to divert pressure.
Pedri is actually more talented but lacks body mass. That's his only downside. Other than that he is a complete midfielder. Usually midfielders don't score. Even Tapellingham is not scoring while playing more deep.
His future is dependent on the ability to have some gravity(Gavi too), Xavi was very impressive in his physicality while being a dwarf.

If he scores in the big games... nobody is gonna laugh anymore. The man banged two great goals on Bernabeu, he can score against anyone if on form.
The hate on Lewandowski has to be tempered. He produced a top season so far. Very pleased with him personally.

Because we are too inconsistent.
No but us ballers know he might very well be the best footballer out there in a couple of years. Ballon dor is mostly a popularity contest anyway.

You guys just really have low standards. You can watch both games and Pedri wasn't anywhere near those goals, and yet Gavin Olmo fermin are. He doesn't defend and Balde as bad as he is often has to defend 1v2 because Pedri barely jogs back most of the time. He doesn't release the ball fast enough and ruins many attacks because he has to dribble/spin first.
He's not a bad player I'm not saying that, he's good and better than many but he has much to improve to be considered a world class player that you all worship.
You guys just think because he slows the game down he's doing some "controlling" but the real skill is to play faster and exploit space as soon as you can. Anyone can play slow that is not 'controlling'.
He also can't shoot outside 10m.
Casado who isn't as good as Pedri at carrying the ball can pass just as well and works 5 times more defensively. So what do you value more
