13 goals and 11 assists is pretty decent considering it was his first season in an European leauge. He also won us a trophy.

tbf according to most neymar has not succeded. At least not yet.He has been average.

I wasn't big on Neymar coming, but this notion that he's been average - let alone that he's failed - is ridiculous. His first season outside Brazil was always bound to be rough, and considering that, he's done very well. I have no doubt he'll be even better next season, and within a few years, he'll be the star of the league.

Not saying he'll flop its just a big risk to take a messi role striker and make him a winger in a style that doesn't suit him. I fear he'll be a scapegoat like cesc.

Ps. Bale (a side from pacewhorin ) has been shit. Every touch he takes is too much. Every pass is Nonexistent and every shot is the same as when he was a spurs player. Bit ofcourse because he cost alot and plays for rm ppl only look at the odd pacewhorin and tap in tally.

Where did I say he failed?

Calm down, I posted the headline of a telegraph article. Sorry for not linking it, here you go

:handshake:
Yeah, sorry. I got carried away.

Anyway, Lucho is probably well aware of that and wants Suarez to play a massive part in his plan. All this "he won't have a team built around him there" crap is just simple overthinking.

Of course he knows he won't be the main man here like he was at Liverpool. Although he was the main man at Liverpool people forget he is a great team player. Ask Sturridge and Sterling why they had such great seasons and one of the main reasons will be Suarez. Him taking a pay cut tells me a lot about him.. Compared to players like Thiago Silva who said he wouldn't because he "had a family to feed" LEL

They will first announce Alexis' departure and then close the deal with the money gained.

Agreed (except he won't be THE star of the league until Messi retires or at least until Messi's like 33). Hate how people just look at his average second half of the season and say he flopped, acting as if the first half of the season never happened.

Apparently Oscar Tabarez told ''Sport 890'' (a local radio station in Uruguay) the following:

Luis had told me about the Barcelona interest in November last year a few days before the Jordan match. At that time the talks between Liverpool and Barcelona were very good and an agreement was arranged back then.
After the amazing season he had Liverpool did not want to sell him understandably and they began to back out of the deal they made with Barcelona in November last year.
Luis got word of this a day after the victory against England. He was a changed man, he got upset and his head was elsewhere. He could barely train with the rest of the team. I had to have him train with a different group from the main squad.
