Suarez as leader of Barca is definitely plausible, I think its more likely he will step up than Neymar. But it will have the Ajax/Liverpool version which means all attacks run trough him, dives, fights , failed attemps, insanity and a lot of brilliant moments:p
It isnt the clean technical way Messi runs an attack but it gets the job done just as good.

Well Liverpool got as close they will do for a long time to winning the premier league largely thanks to him so it shows what can be achieved with Suarez as a focal point

Suarez carrying a mediocre LFC was the closest I've ever seen to Maradona's 2 seasons when he won the Serie A with Napoli. Even without winning the league, it's right up there. And he just kept improving every season by huge leaps.

He carried the team, and more importantly gave them belief that they could genuinely win the title.
Players like that are rare.

Suarez is probably the player who we'll have to depend on to lead us through this tough period. The guy just doesn't know when to give up, he's going to fight, chase the ball 90 minutes, dive, complain, give everything for us to win. A type of player we'll love but opposition fans will respect but hate.

What is wrong with him... 2 chances, he should had converted one.

Nothing is wrong with him, I just don't think he is the most deadly finisher in the game. One of the things someone like Eto'o was better at. The thing Suarez has are the moments of magic, and the ability to win games with stellar executions. I rate both Villa and Eto'o as better game-by-game finishers though. Lewandowski is also a better finisher probably, although Suarez is better overall.

I think you cant always expect amazing goals, but as a 9 you can expect clinical finishes as part of their duties.

He was somewhat imprecise today but the energy was there.

Horror show from him today. And he had plenty of chances to have at least a couple of goals. :banghead:
well he scored a goal and it was offside. I dont think he had to many clear cut chances. But also Neymar is playing the messi role of free roaming where ever he wants. Nobody can expect Suarez from liverpool, when Suarez is stuck at a fixed 9 position. I thought lucho would be smarter and let Suarez play the false 9 with free roaming and creating chances. Neymar played good today but he is not creative like Suarez. Again let him have freedom like neymar has.

Lol. He was brilliant today. By far Barca's best player. But...to be honest, if Suarez's thread is getting comments like these, then Neymar's thread must have pics of fans lighting "Neymar dummies" on fire.

You're welcome
There was a genious moment in Suarez's first opportunity led by Neymars great dribble. The positioning and situation would have you believe that Suarez was going to aim for the far corner but then he took the short instead because he knew the keeper already anticipated the first situation as he dove the wrong way.

Cost us the game. Had he converted that sitter and later another great chance, match would have gone differently.
