You are changing the topic. What makes you think he cannot change? He used to do much worse shit like Biting, racism and much more. He has improved massively in those areas after joining barcelona, which is really something to appreciate. What makes you think that he if he could improve when joining us he cannot continue to improve more?

And how's the change going to happen? He has undergone counseling, anger management class, cold shoulder from his wife, etc. and it seems to have no lasting effect. What's next? You're going to threaten to bench him? Liverpool have done that. You're going to fine him? Same. You're going to threaten to sell him? He's one of the best strikers in the world. He's not going to lack interest from other big clubs.

In the end, its not about club principle or forcing Suarez to conform to it. Its about what makes him who he is. And who he is is a combination of bits and pieces of what you see out on the field, whether good or bad. He's not some poster boy who wears boy scout caps and sells cookies to raise funds for charity in front of the camera. He's simply a man working to feed his family. That's it. All this need to try and turn him into some angelic role model just because he plays for Barca is nauseating. As I've mentioned before, if the club doesn't like his attitude, they'll get rid of him. Simple as that.

Neymar stopped diving. Something he was notorious for.

Suárez stopped biting and diving. Something he was notorious for.

Yes, players can change at Barça.

First of all, Suarez doesn't "dive" in the truest sense of the word. He exaggerates small contacts. Its still not a good thing but there is almost always at least minimal contact when he goes down.

Secondly, he didn't stop. If he was still doing those things in the Premier League, he'd be getting a lot of cards for some of his "falls". The only difference now is that he is not playing in England anymore where he is passionately hated by both rival fans and the English media, and thus is receiving less "frontpage headline" for some of his negative antics.

He didn't stop diving. Slight touch and he's on the ground. When biting is in question, he would have to be complete idiot to repeat it, but I wouldn't be surprised if he would actually do it again.

Same shit again. Who is even saying club is going to fine/threaten etc suarez? You failed to once again make a point as to why he cannot change. And those counselling etc has helped him a lot. If you haven't been noticing he his no longer the cunt he used to be before joining us. He keeps visiting a psychologist even now afaik and so yes he can change and manage his anger better. And the second para of your post is really weird.

>still believing that humans can "change"

This is the first time since his arrival at the club more than 1 year ago Suarez did something worthy of a red card. For a guy who bit and insulted someone every other game, that's a huge achievement, in my book.

Now Suarez is only 5 potential red cards behind Ronaldo this season. Although, when the latter kicks someone the explanation usually is that he has such a winning mentality.

You're kidding right? There have been numerous times when Suarez wins the fight against the defender and goes on to score simply because he was determined to do so. Suarez is tough to be bullied off the ball, and a far cry away from "slight touch and he's on the ground".

And Suarez' antics in England were very different from anything that he's done in Spain. So much that in England he went on to make a diving celebration in front of the other teams fans and coach.

Suarez is dirty and a diver, Messi is too lazy and walks all the time, Ney only cares about partying and humiliating opponents.

They are all so terrible!

We must get rid of them.

Today, it has been reported that Suárez and his former agent (Daniel Fonseca) have a beef against eachother.

During an interview with Montecarlo TV from Wendesday night, Suárez said that Fonseca owed him 20% of the deal when the former joined Groningen. The Dutch club paid Nacional around €800,000 for Suárez.

According to Suárez, Fonseca told him to reject the 20% and was promished to be compensated later when Suárez would leave Groningen, something that Suárez said had never happened.

Also, Suárez said he was duped as to his wages at Groningen

Knowing the difficulties a player has to go through to earn his money, taking me to a team and telling me I’d be getting 30,000 euros and then finding it’s 10,000… that was one of the very few disappointing things between me and Daniel at that time and it still annoys me because as a former player, to do that with players who have come up from nothing, who have suffered, they play their part as well.

Fonseca defended himself on Uruguay radio station 1010

He is lying, he is a kid with mental issues, everybody knows that. He still sees a psychologist but I don’t think it’s doing any good. He needs to change psychologist or go to a psychiatrist. He counts on his fingers, the kid doesn’t know how to add up.

However, Suárez admitted he was grateful how Fonseca helped him in the early years of his carrer before the interview started.

When I was 15 he paid for my first trip to Spain [to visit his girlfriend]. He used to help out with a bit of money, giving my family a bit every month. I’m very grateful because of the needs we had as a family. Sometimes he’d give me football boots, he treated us very well

Fonseca went on to talk about regarding the money Suárez mentioned.

The whole thing started because I had to tell the kid a very uncomfortable truth when he was playing for the junior national team. Three of his teammates gave me a call and said they were having a tough time with Luis. I had to say something very uncomfortable to the kid, but until the day I die I won’t say what it was. He didn’t take it, it didn’t go down well at all. The coward should tell the truth and not try to smear me by saying I owe him 200,000 euros. Little sod! If he had any courage he’d say what I had to say to him. That’s the real motive why this disgraceful person doesn’t have the courage to talk and has been hiding this for six year

Some people here will put blind folds on every little detail and just act stupid like little kids.
