BTW, for football newbies, the Argentina-Uruguay rivalry is not based on hatred. Both sets of players are raised together (the "style" is mutually known as the "River Plate" football style), and then go on to be friends when they go to Europe. They speak with the same accent and their shared football history is literally unparalleled.
"Kind of" like "Liverpool vs. Everton", except imagine that Everton won 6 Champions Leagues and more league titles than Liverpool. So there's a massive amount of respect between both football nations. Literally, this doesn't exist anywhere in the world (IE: Liverpool looks down on Everton, like
Barça does with Espanyol, or how England with Scotland).
