9 - Robert Lewandowski

Auba would have gotten injured a dozen times. He was known for disciplinary issues. The most probable outcome would have been maybe 15 total goals in 10 full matches in the last 3 years when Lewandowski was here.

To tell you the truth. I really wish Robert retired but he deserves to do it on a better tone. Just hoping he'll finish the good job he started this season, with some goals in deciding moments and get some fanfare, then leave.
I remember the hate Ribbery and Robben got at Bayern when it was their time, and that's after they had become their icons, and they did not even get as much play time what Robert got here.
Robert himself needs to do some self assessment and start to measure his ambitions by his abilities. He ain't getting better, that's given.
Maybe I am wrong about it completely, looking at it from a sport angle only, instead of money... Leaving gracefully this season, or not so much gracefully but with a bigger sack of money? What would you do?

Kindovlike Federer, Nadal or now Djokovic...I really got to like the Serbian guy, even though he wasn't my favorite for a long time. Why let the World see the decline? Why offer a sad epilog to otherwise an impeccable legendary story?
I realy hope Novak will get the last fanfare this year but he should let it go after. Rejoice his after glory.

Because we could've saved a ton of money and had equal or better team performance keeping Auba.
yeah, something new... his stats don't look too good for the Saudis, his value has also dropped significantly, if he was better than Lewandowski he wouldn't be wandering around the world to finally end up for the Saudis in a poor backyard league...

He wasn't motivated at shit clubs like Arsenal. Put rags in the same clubs and would be worse.

Comparing Novak to Lewandowski is so disrespectful to the former.

A healthy Novak can still win a Grand Slam even at his age. Lewandowski is not a top five player in the world.
But he was not too long ago. An average footballer 'carrer' life is much shorter than the one of a tennis player. Djokovic is done - but he is one arrogant guy but I got to like him for that.
Anyway, at his rate of decline, he'll look worse than Lewandowski at Barca, if he does not already.
Other than that, In the sport character integrity, fair play and staying humble, Djokovic could learn from Lewandowski a few things.

Lewa is not a top 5 player at Barcelona let alone La Liga or the world.
but he can even be outside the top hundred and play for the team, win trophies etc. Holy shit - I see that new experts appear on this forum all the time. Fucking Thierry Henry talks about Lewandowski in only good words but a few clowns who consider themselves football experts will continue to talk shit that Lewandowski is only good for Qatar or the Saudi league. If he scores some important goals in the CL you will hide under the table and not even write, "Sorry, I was wrong"... You know why many good players don't want to go to Barcelona, because here it's like this - you either love or hate a player.

Lmao, Djokovic is more on the Messi, Jordan etc. level in terms of accomplishments and top level

Lewa is a nobody compared to him, at any age being compared. Stop it.
Maybe but I wasn't comparing accomplishments or won accolades in the corresponding sports but the phenomenon of a graceful exit from what is an adorable carrer.

A Real fan, when Mbappe was in bad shape, kept rooting for him and believed in him, and Mbappe has incomparably higher earnings. I haven't heard of anyone sending him to Saudi Arabia. Mbappe at Lewandowski's age will already have a belly and be eating chips - that's the truth.
