Not a knock on Lewa really as clearly having a good season.

But jesus fuck wait and see what Yamal is like when he has a mobile 9 that can run in behind and also he is more central more often.

Going to be glorious.

Oi Nico.. fancy being converted into the new Etoo?

Oh he wouldn't even cross my mind if someone ask me about top polish players. In 80s there was no chance to see any BL or any other top leagues but I have just checked his stats and in BL he played 62 games and score only 15 goals. For striker position it doesn't look good imo. For Poland 29 games - 2 goals.

Boniek on the other hand 80 games and 26 goals for Poland and he was OM not striker. With Juventus he won everything he could and with Platini they were unstoppable.
Okonski wasn't a striker, though. He was a classic midfielder...a later version of Deyna or Kasperczak. Boniek was more versatile, he could play as an attacker too.

Raphinha drifts inwards and runs in behind a lot this season so Yamal already has that option.

Also, most teams play a low block or are forced to push back against Flick's incredible high line system which is why there isn't always room to run in behind.

Haaland would struggle more in this system than City's system.

Not the same at all as having a CF doing it on shoulder of CBs constantly.

Haaland would absolutely score for fun at Barca. Would be devestating.

What a shameless clown

Manuel Neuer
Alaba
Muller
Robbery (only for a couple years though)
Thiago (nice try putting a "reject" label on it)
Kimmich
Lahm
Vidal
Boateng
Hummels

All of these were world-class to legends (Neuer) for example at various parts of Lewa's tenure there

Then you have Coman, Goretzka, Gnabry, Alphonso Davies, Sane etc. who were all world-class in patches/spurts. This is just top of mind. I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty

Messi since 2017 had an older Suarez, one good season of Rakitic, Pique for patches, and Alba for patches. That's it. Even MSN era, only in 2015 were Iniesta, Busquets, and Pique near their top level. Aside from the amazing attacking trio.
Robbery? Have you ever watched them play apart from YT highlights? Lmao, they were ALWAYS missing important matches due to injuries. Bayern lost few CLs because they were only blocking 1st spot in squad, not letting new players join while missing all important and biggest matches in their careers
