totally different players.

Suarez was all or nothing and barely pressed along with Messi in latter years and team struggled in CL with it.

The number of assists depends primarily on whether the striker is withdrawn or rather plays as a classic number nine, i.e. advanced. If Lewandowski receives instructions from Flick not to withdraw, the number of assists decreases. When Xavi was the coach, there was a time when he told Lewandowski to withdraw, then he played more balls, had more contacts and therefore assists. Note that Lewandowski currently has few contacts with the ball and these are usually contacts outside the penalty area - if his goal/assist statistics were to be better, then practically 1 in 8 of his contacts would have to end in a goal or assist. This season, the statistics do not work in his favor, because he had many key passes that his partners did not use or were whistled offside.

He has few contacts because if he had more he would lose the ball (miscontrol it due to his awful technique), make a bad pass, or generally do nothing with it because he can't run past his marker nor can he dribble past anyone.

Flick would instruct both not to press but occupy centre like 40 yrs old Zlatan to preserve knees and score max ghouls

Lewamancer - perks slow, slow aura, cause fear, weakness, unholy resilience, necroball, ancient, ghouls king, back from the dead, call from the desert.

All makes sense now, even looks the part at his age (most of you don't know, but it's 37 this year).

Let's not fool ourselves here

He RARELY has a good game without scoring goals

Rarely as I don't remember the last time such a thing happened

If he doesn't score he either ghosted so there's not much to judge him on, or he got dispossesed like 15 times and lost all his duels
