It's not "fake", just greatly taken out of context and obviously an attempt by Marca to create controversy where there was none.
Lewandowski didn't even come up with these words, he was literally just asked in a post match interview after Bayern-Dortmund:

Reporter: What do you think about Messi calling out France Football to give you Ballon d'or 2020. Just PR thing or sincere declaration from great player?
Lewandowski: I want to believe it's sincere declaration of great player not just PR words. Of course I'm not getting mad or something, but if you are such close it's inside you.

Also choked in Euro2016 when Poland were the best stripclub.

Cant win Balon Dor if you dont win the big ones like Messi.

Yeah he keeps bitchin so much that I am happy he never won one. Not that Bdor shouldn't do the right thing and give 2020 to him..

Thats the logic of argumentation which makes no sense. You are competing with the players who are at the moment the best players in the world, not with the ones in the history. To the time of Iniesta/Ribery peak Messi/Ronaldo have played.

7-0 in major cup finals. MOTM in all three formats.

:lol: You can make a solid case he and Xavi are the biggest winners in football history. Ramos is close but he lacks LL dominance and wasn't as crucial (he was still crucial of course) to those cup wins.

Iniesta and Xavi would have dominated the ballon dor's if they wouldnt play in Messi/Ronaldo era.
