With all due respect. He had a great career so far, is one of the fittest players around and I'm sure he at least has another good year in him. All costs considered I'd still say no to such a transfer. Just too big of a risk financially and I doubt he'd be even feasible under current LL FFP rules.

The emergence of Auba has a lot to do with it. His presence in the center has made this team so much better and much more dangerous. His numbers speak for himself. Sure, Lewa would score a goal more here and there, but he won't make too much of a significant difference compared to Auba Barca.

If Barca spends money in the offense, it should be for a right winger.

Wow this transfer is happening

Olivier Kahn (Director Bayern Munich): "We are not crazy to talk about the transfer of a player who scores 30-40 goals for us per season. We will surely have him for another season."

They just confirmed they don't want to offer him a new deal

He also said they already started talks iirc.

Every journalist and reporter in Europe jumping on this Lewy to Barca story.

Tbf if I was Alemany I would leak false information like that to everyone just so I could focus on my real target but who knows what they are thinking and doing. Don't see Bayern relenting and letting him leave for 20-30m.

I think it's a bad idea. We need to get ourselves ready and transfer good players who will be in their primes in 1-2 years. Not strikers who in 2 years will be MLS material.

We have too many veterans as is. We are stacked in veterans and wonderkids. Now we need to supply the middle segment, for which we have, let's face it, quite many bums.

Let's see these 2 free signings, Kessie and Christensen. But we need some signings in this age group that are genuine top-class players.

I thought the rumours had shut down by today especially after Kahn's statement?!

Bayern are smart. They are using him for another season and then they'll evaluate if it makes sense to extend his contract, but will happily let him go if he choses money over them.

They've called that money Zahavi bullshit rumors already by saying just that he has a contract until next season. This game of Lewa wanting to join Madrid (he might have wanted at some point) is a never-ending story of him wanting more money and now it is Barcelona, just because.

Bayern are handling this case very well and Lewa neither will get the money he wants nor sign a midterm contract with them because they won't offer him one.

They've shown it with Alaba that they don't care if a player leaves them for free.

Yeah Bayern are smart. They can keep his until he is 35. They can see next season if he's still worth that kind of money or just let him go for free and they can use next season to find his replacement.

If Lewandowski declines next season, he can always go back to Dortmund, they usually take them back after Bayern are done with them.

Rummenigge takes an indirect dig at these transfer rumours and contract talks breaking the day before such an important tie.

Says that contract talks aren't going on all the time. And these things are bad for the media and the club.

Do these things really affect team morale?
I don't buy this. We had all kinds of Salah rumors and even direct public dialogue with his agent throwing vitriol at the club and yet we didn't let it affect any of the crucial games so far.

Xavi on Lewandowski: "I understand the question but this is not the time to talk about this. He is a great player but we have to focus on tomorrow's game."

That Norwegian Jan guy(Haaland lover): "Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern. That is clear."

At this point it genuinely seems like he's leaving Bayern. There are always these rumours every year but this time it looks more likely.

Don't be surprised if another surprise club come in for him.

As long as he can doesn't come here, don't care where he ends up. He is like another Ronaldo, taking well care of his body, extremely hardworking, big ego, complains and whines. Don't even come near us please.

Kerry Hau, Sport1:

Two (unnamed) leading Bayern players have been internally repeatedly criticising Nagelsmann's tactics and sometimes complex training exercises.

According to Bayern forum Lewandowski and Muller/Gnabry have been undermining and opposing Nagelsmann since December. Lewy even criticized Nagelsmann's tactics in an interview recently saying it was way too attacking and crowded in the opponent's box.

Lol Bayern are in turmoil.
