No offense, but he's hardly been a difference maker for Bayern in the CL. For a player who performs at the level and has the impact that he makes domestic competitions, in the CL he's been quite underwhelming.

Funnily his best performance ever has been in CL semi against Real of all and the ass hole choked against them yesterday!

As such performances like his one vs Madrid for Dortmund don't happen on a yearly base, it's not surprising that there's a lack of examples to fit your criterias. This forum has declared all great strikers as overrated at least once, Suarez, Lewandowski, Kane, Griezmann, Higuain, Cavani etc and it's always after a lost big game and ESPECIALLY when said big game was against Madrid. actually this trend started when CR7 started scoring buckets v the likes of atletico bayern juve in CL games. evaluation of CL performances used to be a whole less goals + assists tally centered...with the current criteria the likes of iniesta, xavi, modric, scholes etc would never get their due.

regardless, the criticism for lewandowski for yesterday is valid because he fluffed a couple of easy chances (which is amplified in a CL semi) and generally didn't play to the intensity that a james for example did. I mean, this is a barcaforum and we went in on messi and suarez for the disaster class v roma.

Not at all, those are extremes.

To point out some recent CL performances in recent history:

Mandzukic vs Real, Dybala vs Barca, Salah vs City, Mbappe vs City, Griezmann vs Barca, Higuain vs Monaco.

Edit: Oh and how could I forget Dzeko vs Barca

Not legendary performances/goals by any means, but very solid forward performances that influenced the CL ties.

Haven't seen Lewandowski be decisive like the examples mentioned above in big CL ties while with Bayern.

Still think he's been quite underwhelming for a player of his caliber. Reading around seems a lot of Bayern fans feel the same about him and Thiago as well.

The thing about him though is that, according to Bayern fans (and Oliver Kahn), Lewa consistently doesn't show up when it counts, at least not for Bayern.

I'm pretty sure the forum consensus on Higuain isn't that he's overrated, as that would mean someone actually rated him, but that he's a turd. Could just be me though.

Bayern are holding firm that he won't leave and I'm guessing that plays apart on how he's playing right now. Simply not all that interested in Bayern right now.

There is almost zero chance of Cakir giving a red to Mierda, all the referees they've had in the past seasons in the final stages of CL were obviously not willing to yellow card them as they should so, for me, a red for them is out of the question.
