I wouldn't mind seeing Messi back towards the right side again to be honest though (with freedom to drift inside of course). He mightn't score quite as much as he does now but the team would be better balanced and less dependent on him. Look at Ronaldo....he's still playing on the wings and is scoring buckets of goals.

I think that's it. Messi playing from the right with the ability to drift in as the play develops in the final third. I think they call it playing out to in?. I kinda think this false 9 has been kinda rumbled. Teams just kinda play these four players around the area, in which Messi plays. Bayern for example played Boateng-Dante-Schweinsteiger-Martinez all in and around Messi.

This is what I think will happen if we get Lewa.

I feel sorry for Dortmund if Lewa and Götze both leave this summer, they looked like they could become the next European powerhouse and I really like the thought of the German and the Spanish league having the best 4 teams in the world as I don't particularly like the PL, but it will be very hard for them to replace those players.

We're like a bunch of Lewa groupies in here
Still, how often do you see a player score 4 goals vs. Madrid and does it in such important match. Tonight, he deserves every wild praise he gets. And not the least for making Barca fans feel better :)

I'll be honest. I always knew he was a good player. Just never thought he was Barca quality up until tonight.

Yep from a football point of view, it's a real shame. I thought the same about Bilbao last season/Malaga this season, they'll eventually get stripped of all their players, because other teams will pay the transfer fees and the wages that go with that. I can imagine if that your the manager of one of those clubs, you'll get pissed off really quickly.

His stats have been impressive this season. 43 games and 35 goals overall.

Interesting front three indeed if we buy him.
