Do you think that with Flick, Lewandowski will give his best version, or that due to his age, he will get worse? I trust that he will improve somewhat.
I expect the team will search for Lewy more often on the field than under Xavi's rule and that should improve his scorer. Lewy doesn't need to improve to get more goals next season.

Of course he can improve - Lewandowski's age is not such a problem, the problem was the coach's bad tactics. In other words, Lewy always played in teams that created a lot of opportunities and he excelled in them. Barcelona were currently playing slowly and schematically, and where Lewandowski could be launched, the ball was withdrawn.
Do you know how many balls were played to the running Lewandowski behind the defenders' backs this season? 6, i.e. 1 ball for approximately 6 matches. How many such balls were there on average in Bayern? 25-30 per season. Lewandowski handled such balls perfectly because he is physically strong and his advantage has always been the ability to block... To sum up, if Flick changes his tactics, Lewandowski will score a total of 35-40 goals next season.

Normally under Flick we should spam our strikers with crosses and through balls, Lewa will score more than this season and Roque as sub will also score his 10-15 goals

Most delusional take in weeks. Well done.

Lewandowski has been in a downward spiral for a while now.
Glimpses of a great striker might still appear from time to time, but in the end, he is doing more harm than good.

I think we'll be scoring more goals next season and he'll benefit from it, not that he'll be better, but our attacking play will be better.

Question is, do we play him and trigger the Automatic extension..

One can only hope roque shows he was a genius, xavi just didn't appreciate his kind of genius and he benches lewa

RL9 under Flick: 83 goals 22 assists in 71 games. @Rassvet

Sources close to the club have informed Barça Universal that Barcelona’s new manager, Hansi Flick, believes he can bring out the best in Robert Lewandowski.

Yeah, when he was 5 years younger...

What is the matter with some people here? You really don't get better past 35, there is only one way, down.

Not this again. He doesn't need to get better. He just needs to be in a better system which creates chances. He's still probably the best shooter on the planet. He has been great in 2024.

Washed up RL9 in a shit on a stick system still averages 30 goals a season. That's more than the numbers of some "world class strikers" in their peaks.

Huh? He ended up 3rd/4th in the topscorer rankings, playing for a top 2 team, so for sure he needs to improve, below 20 goals is not acceptable for a number 9 at Barca.

Besides the goals, he is slow af, teams can play higher up the pitch since Lewa can't run.

He is not unlike Ronaldo in his 2nd spell at United, good finisher, threat in the box, but one-dimensional, and even slower.

The difference being: Ronaldo isn't a natural central striker and can't play with his back to goal. He prefers the ball to his feet or running in behind around the left-central channels and making free runs into the box.

Strikers don't necessarily need to be fast. Current Lewandowski is still good at holdup play. Xavi has tried the long ball plan to Lewandowski several times.

Barca need a fast winger who can get in behind. In his peak Lewandowski used to run in behind all the time but current Lewandowski is a Targetman just every old centre forward ever.

Teams will suffer if they play higher up against wingers like Vini. Barca need that profile on the left flank.
