I know it's an annoying technique but he has the highest penalty conversion rate ever IIRC(around 92%).

Clearly, it works.

He found a loophole and slows down while actually being in motion(you can't completely stop) and slots it past the keepers with no power.
Actually he's not even top 10 as far as I know. Le Tissier has the highest conversion rate, followed by Van Basten & Platini(all scored over 40 penalties).

64 G/A (50 goals + 14 assists) in less than 2 seasons(79 matches) for one of the most defensive Barca sides ever (mostly last season) is impressive achievement. And if you add to it, that the midfielders behind him (bar Gundo) are making combined 5 assists per season, the achievement becomes incredible.

I am a fan. But, if he doesn't drop the effeminate celebrations or cowardly penalties he will have an enemy in me.
I do not stand to see a good specimen like him acting so cringeworthy.

That first touch to set up the strike was glorious. Only a Footballer of a certain calibre can even think of that touch to set up the shot.

It's pretty simple. RL9 gets to great positions all the time. Your players don't pass the ball to him and instead lose the ball. When this happens every game, RL9 gets frustrated and stops giving a fuck.

Simply pass the ball to him whenever he takes up those positions. The guy with 600 plus career goals and 30 odd trophies isn't the problem. The clueless coach and his teammates who have achieved fuckall in their careers are the problem.

There's a reason why the only midfielder in Barca who has actually won stuff(Gundogan) knows and tries to get the ball to RL9 whenever he can in the final third.

Learn how to identify the actual problems in your team, you numpties.

📊 Lewandowski with Barcelona:

👕 79 games
⚽️ 50 goals
🅰️ 16 assists
🥅 66 G/A
🏆 2 titles

Imagine being so good that even after being at your very worst and getting dog's abuse from the fans every week while playing in a crap team with no creativity and patterns of play, you have better numbers at 35 than most "world class attackers" in their peak.

Classic example of a victim of his own greatness.

Stats-wise he has been very good for Barca, you see also how Bayern struggles to win the league without Lewangoalski. Guy was highly underrated in his prime

Don't let this forum fool you.

Outside this forum, most Football fans recognise him as one of the greatest strikers in history.

This forum talks about him like he's Arnautovic.

The most underrated player ever.

How is it so hard to differentiate current Lewandowski from prime Lewandowski?

Is 12 goals in 23 games really acceptable for a player like Lewandowski? Standards should be higher. And it's due to those standards that most Barca fans think Lewy's performances aren't good enough.

Maybe what he said in his interview was the truth?

In 2024, he's only behind Mbappe in top 5 leagues for most goals scored and Barca have been dreadful recently. So there's clearly been an improvement.

He lost his spark in 2023 and it was a bad year for him when everything fell apart.

Before that he was the best in the business.

PS: The service he's gets under Xavi is a joke and absolutely disgusting for a top club. Barring Gundogan none of the others pass it to him. Ferran, Raphinha, Yamal don't even try to pass it to him. Pedri and FDJ don't have a final ball in their locker.

Is Barca even that bad?
