9 - Robert Lolwandowski

This match proved to me that when a situation on a pitch seems nothing else but hopeless, you had better keep Robert on.

Carlo Ancelotti, similarly to Flick now, was under heat from the press and the fans at the time. And this match against Schalke...until 80 th minute, Bayern attacking attempts were neutered by otherwise well motivated Schalke team, who gave them a solid match.

After this, Carlos, like a Padri, kissed RL9 on the forehead for saving the day.

This explains @Maradona37 's hate against Lewy :flick2:
TBF Scotland was unfortunate in that match. The 1st goal of Lewandowski was arguably from the off side, although no VAR existed yet at the time. Then they played very well. Their fans created a spectacular atmosphere on the stadium, and conceding the last second goal must have realy hurt. I kind of felt for them because, unlike other nations, they were respectful during the national anthem of Poland, and throughout the game behaved with a host's due respect.
But the karma returned, and they scored similarly a deserved winner in Warsaw a few weeks back, which relegated Poland from A group to B in Nations Leage. It hurt too.

I don't hate him. He seems a thoroughly decent guy and I already acknowledged he is one of the best strikers of his generation. Yeah he seems bland but he seems a very good guy who has never done anything bad to anyone really.

However A) I just don't particularly enjoy watching him and B) I am calling what I have seen. He does have a good goalscoring record this season for sure but it's still very hard to win anything with an immobile ancient striker whose link up play has declined a lot.

Like I said, if he was still in his prime and could replicate Bayern form at Barca, he'd likely be doing very well. But in this current form I believe he can't last a season at full pelt. However, Barca don't seem to have that many other players who can score regularly so maybe he does have to play.

However, I most definitely do not hate the guy. He seems a stand-up character. Just not my type of player to watch and believe he is well in decline, which you expect from a 36 year old forward.

You do believe he's overrated by football fans/casuals/general audience though, don't you?

Many of us, on the other hand, think he's criminally underrated.

Interesting.........

Many of us?

Literally only 5 people on this forum think that, and half of them are anti-Barca trolls

more in the sense that they seem to really like him and think he is the bees knees more than other deserving players. Not in the sense that he's one of the best players of his generation.

Women or fanboys saying he's the greatest striker ever though is definitely overrating him, lol.

You must not have a high school diploma either to talk down to people like that.

Hey...how come this thread is popular on so unpopular player? Go figure...I'd better go and get a high school diploma myself to understand that.

He's rated as one of the greatest strikers of his generation yet people believe he's underrated? Do his delusional fans want people to claim he's better than prime R9 or something?

How is he wrong? FatiBdOr, Temptation, Rassvet are definitely not Barca fans . Everyone on this forum knows that.

I don't know about you or the Polish guy on here who defends him like Lewandowski is his dad.

@KingLeo10. Why do you say I am an anti-Barca fan because I am Robert Lewandowski fan? Ever since he joined the club, I am emotionally vested in the club success.
Whenever I watch a match, I really feel emotions, especially when Lewa plays well.
If Barcelona wins I feel good, when it loses I feel sad. That may not make me a true fan, perhaps a proper term would be a supporter or sympathizer but antifan?! It ain't fair.

Similarly, there are Georgians cheering for Napoli on the account of Kvaratskhelia, who gives them joy to watch. I don't see anything wrong with that. That's how you make a club global and popular, you give someone not native to the club a reason to be attached to it somehow.

that's true, except that I defend him like I am not his son but uncle.

That's quite a difference because when he needs to be chastised I won't object but any undeserved hate shown on here whenever or whatever shortcomings are encountered, will be pushed back with the same amount of ferociousness. At least whenever I have nothing better to do....he he he.
