I don't hate him, he's a good lad and very attractive (probably accounts for much of his popularity). So, maybe the whole thread is about arguing between those who like Lewandowski and those who don't, or rather blatantly hate him, while his actual performance is of a secondary relevance.
You don't seem to like when a group of people genuinely express sympathy for Lewandowski.
Maybe you, as well as other Lewandowski haters, come here not really to discuss matters concerning his actual performance but rather to find kicks and thrills by exchanging blows with those who sympathize with him in good and bad moments - which in itself is healthy and innocent, for it is not promoting negativity and is contained in Lewandowski thread.
All you need to do, is not to enter this thread, to avoid aaggregation.
I don't like Messi, feel quite indifferent about Ronaldo, but don't go to their threads to stir up stink or looking for fight, well knowing to some people they're like a 2nd coming Jesus.
Would I get on with him and wanna hang out with him if I knew him? Most likely. Would I expect anything of him in a CL Final aged 36? No. They are separate matters.
I understand why he is popular, because he has positive qualities (smart, talented, handsome, decent man, stylish). But people are taking those positive qualities and using them to overrate 36 year old Lewy as a footballer.
I know he scores goals (despite missing a lot too), I know he isn't as bad a footballer as Haaland. But his all-round game has become below average and Flick will pay for standing by Lewy at some point, in my opinion.
I might be wrong, time will tell. Maybe Lewy will put a MOTM performance in in some big games and I will have egg on my face. I will happily admit I was wrong if so (if still on here). Let us wait and see.
