So, maybe the whole thread is about arguing between those who like Lewandowski and those who don't, or rather blatantly hate him, while his actual performance is of a secondary relevance.
You don't seem to like when a group of people genuinely express sympathy for Lewandowski.
Maybe you, as well as other Lewandowski haters, come here not really to discuss matters concerning his actual performance but rather to find kicks and thrills by exchanging blows with those who sympathize with him in good and bad moments - which in itself is healthy and innocent, for it is not promoting negativity and is contained in Lewandowski thread.
All you need to do, is not to enter this thread, to avoid aaggregation.
I don't like Messi, feel quite indifferent about Ronaldo, but don't go to their threads to stir up stink or looking for fight, well knowing to some people they're like a 2nd coming Jesus.
I don't hate him, he's a good lad and very attractive (probably accounts for much of his popularity).

Would I get on with him and wanna hang out with him if I knew him? Most likely. Would I expect anything of him in a CL Final aged 36? No. They are separate matters.

I understand why he is popular, because he has positive qualities (smart, talented, handsome, decent man, stylish). But people are taking those positive qualities and using them to overrate 36 year old Lewy as a footballer.

I know he scores goals (despite missing a lot too), I know he isn't as bad a footballer as Haaland. But his all-round game has become below average and Flick will pay for standing by Lewy at some point, in my opinion.

I might be wrong, time will tell. Maybe Lewy will put a MOTM performance in in some big games and I will have egg on my face. I will happily admit I was wrong if so (if still on here). Let us wait and see.

Always comes back to goals with you.

When will you finally get it? In a big, tight game against equal opposition, the chances and situations will be much fewer far between. In that scenario his racking up goals (mostly against cannon fodder) won't help him.

He won't stand up to be counted when it REALLY counts. It's obvious he will cost Barca at some point, because his all-round game is terrible and he misses more chances than he should.
And you contradict yourself. Since there are one, maximum two situations in such matches, you need someone who can even in such an acrobatic way push the ball into the goal. Show me someone in Barcelona who could score such incredible goals as Lewandowski, Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Haaland?

What are you talking about, acrobatic goals lol? What the fuck?

I am saying there might be a moment or two in a match where he has the chance to slide someone in, and he fucks it up and the chance is gone. Or he has a chance himself and misses, like he did last night.

As I just said, I might be entirely wrong - maybe he will morph into Maradona in the next two months. But the signs say otherwise, do they not?

I am a vocal critic of him (as a footballer now, not as a person) but I am far from alone in this thread.

Nobody in this thread has any agenda in disliking him as a player. Nobody has anything against him as a person. If anything you and the Polish posters are the one with a bias and likely to have an agenda.

Also, I would like you to acknowledge that 'even Messi makes the odd bad pass' was a silly point in trying to defend Lewy's bad passing ability. You have kept ignoring my point there. I know you're better than that.

But changing the name of the thread can be interpreted in two ways:
1. It is a direct attact on Lewandowski himself,
2. It is an expression of how the thread itself evolved.
....
I'd like to think it is more of the latter than the former, for abusing any player's name is nothing else but a blow below the belt.

True, it is unnecessary, especially for a player on your own team. But think it is just a bit of banter. Happens with other footballers too.

'CR150' for example, allowing for the fact he is a Barca enemy rather than ally.

I'd like to think that too.
It is a fascinating social media phenomenon, that a 36 year old player, is the bone of contention as it comes to FC Barcelona players, and his thread clearly wins the popularity contest of all threads on the site, so far.

Nobody hates him, he's a likeable guy, they're just fed up of his elephant impression outside the box.

People here are very worried he will cost Barca at some point as the business end of the season arrives. In my opinion, with good reason.

Ultimately he cannot even make that simple pass, and no it isn't because he's in decline. It's because he has never had IT.

He cannot weight even a simple pass. Hasn't got the brain cells to angle it. That's not decline, not being able to play a pass.
If anything, the most underrated thing about Lewandowski is his "brain cells to angle it". Lewandowski is making pixel perfect passes (and I mean it - pixel perfect) when given a little 0,5 sec extra time and this is something I can see in him for years and cant see in lets say Suarez and I'm watching Lewandowski since his Lech Poznan times

You're just making theory about lacking brain cells based on one fucked pass you see and the fact that you simply dont like Lewandowski because you're dumb and if someones playstyle isnt flashy like some Neymar Suarez then you think hes bad xD

Well, he didn't do it last night. And he fucks up passes a lot. You just live in his arsehole like a sycophant.

Delicious irony of you to call someone else dumb, but thanks for the post.

Nothing to do with flashy either dafty - Xavi is one of my fave players ever. Was he flashy? Typical thicko's strawman argument which can be ripped apart in nanoseconds.

Thick, sociopathic, Polish cunt. Guys like you are too easy.

Oh, I also never claimed prime Lewy was bad - I have said many times he was excellent and one of the best strikers of the last 20/30.

But there's a lot of dummies on here who equate criticism with calling someone rubbish. He's a poor player outside the box now, but I am obviously not talking about prime Lewy.

Stick to being upset that games are postponed because someone dies you ugly maggot.

Funny how I only rate 'flashy players' yet I am one of the very few football fans who argues that midfielders and defenders are as important as attackers.

I swear there's some ultra-thick cunts on here who just pull comments out of their unwashed arses. Tramp.

Too easy to what? You have been always some autistic overyapping weirdo even back in the days when I had your sympathy lol achieve something outside of huge amount of posts on barcelona forum and being an amateur football player and calling your opinions "as a footballer" xDD

Mate you're a dumb cunt and a sociopath, you have always been a maggot of a human being far too enamoured with Lewandowski due to your weak-willed patriotism.

Never said that. But when you play football at any level, you can see how good or bad players are at infinitely higher levels.

If you were in my vicinity my boot would be on your throat.
