9 - Samuel Eto'o

Mr Lover Man
So far he hasn't been missed but I'm sure when Zlatan doesn't score against Madrid, Eto'o's name will pop up all over this place.

Nice picture, too bad you can't read Ibra's name easily.

I think that's the beauty of it...Foreground shot of player that was replaced, who is in the background - outta focus a little...It's an artistic kind of shot that says more than just what the subjects can...Very lucky, to capture, IMHO

I wish, I know nothing :worthy:...But I know I really have a love for photography and I thought that pic was special

In fact, I'd add that what is even more remarkable about that photo still is the perspective...Ibra looking away from the viewer and Samu...While Samu is also looking away from us but looking towards Ibra...I mean, seriously, how cool is that photo?

In one recent interview Eto'o was asked if he felt disappointed during the final part of his era in Barcelona,he said
"Yes,many persons disappointed me,all people would guess Pep and Joan, but there are a lot of other persons how betrayed me.''
''During my era in Barca i had never imagined that my departure would be so tough.''

Despite support he had for years Eto'o feels mistreated by Barca's management
''They were very unfair to me"

Samuel Eto'o scored 109 goals in his 145 matches in La Liga, with Barca .

I agree with him, yea,he probably should have left but deserved much nicer treatment especially from Catalan media.

I love the revisionist history that tries to paint Eto'o as a worthless scrub who did nothing for the club. I wouldn't really say Pep betrayed him as the two clearly hated each other from day one, but I can see how he would view Laporta as a backstabber. I wanted him traded as he was getting predictable and clearly had a tense relationship with the coach, but I don't know how anyone could say they handled the situation with class.

He'll never stop talking about the club, and 9/10, he'll have something negative to say. Time to move on. Unless he wants to file a lawsuit, of course.

Well it's the club that he spent the peak of his career at, and he feels that the club screwed him over. Even if he's wrong about the money, it can't be denied that Laporta gave him mixed signals all summer. Of course what happened is still on his mind, and reporters are going to ask him about it for the rest of his life, what do you expect him to say?

He's not mad at Barca, he loves Barca. (and he'll always will)

He's mad at the people who asked him to leave, weeks after he scored a goal in the CL final and made maybe the best season in his career. I don't take his words as talking against the club, I take them as talking against some people in the club. Even if it's the same thing for someone, it's not for me.

As a FCB fan, I don't feel personally attacked by Samuel Eto'o, because I know that he doesn't mean that. He doesn't mean to target Barca, the fans, the team or Catalunya. I'm sure about that and I don't see nothing wrong or abusive, because of which I should feel something negavite about him.
