cameroon's problem (and indeed all of sub-saharan africa's problem) is the lack of good CREATIVE midfielders. the game in africa is still very kick-and-rush which comes a cropper in tournaments and such. there's no passing acumen or mentality and thus teams give the ball away loads, which in big tournaments is basically suicide.

You are right,no mentality,no technique with the African teams...but how do you see the chances of the Ivorians?

Sammy Eto-what a legend!!! I always said we should have left on a free or signed maybe a one year deal. Anyway done and dusted. Too bad we got that lazy ass Ibra. Barca's biggest mistake and now we're trying to rectify it with Villa signing.

It makes me sad. All eto'o needs is an arm around the shoulder and the promise that his team will try for success. He got shifted out so the plan B could become plan A. I'm happy for him, but I can't feel happy that he won it with inter. I'm not celebrating for eto'o. Because he should be doing it at barca.

Nice one GJ, I was just thinking that. Every now and again an African team get's a very talented ball-player. He isn't exactly a ball-player, but Essien is the closest thing that comes to mind when thinking about talented african players who are capable of dictating the tempo.

Funny you should say that, I've actually been down that road before but the card got lost. I wouldn't want it to happen again so I won't send him a card. Thanks for the idea though. What made you think of it?
