Adama Traore

TBH I don't see why we are after Traore.............well I tell a lie I can see it because we lack wide players, however he'll be nowhere near the first XI. More often than not he'll be on the bench. Probably start in the cups. But for a loan deal with no option to buy, it doesn't make sense.

we have Ibe and the likes of Ojo, Wilson and Kent coming through so I don't see the need for Adama

The new Barça policy is selling with buyback, so if he goes, it won't be a loan.

Ojo is going to Wolves on loan, Wilson is more of a left back than anything else and Kent is a few levels below them at this time. But with Ibe and Markovic in the squad I'm a bit perplexed as to why we are even in for him. As you say the three youngsters we do have for that role - whilst at a stage earlier in their development than Traore - would be who should develop for that role.

So there's really truth to it?

the story hasn't really been reported that much here in the uk, I saw sport have said Barca want an option on Coutinho which is pretty ridiculous.

From the Daily Mirror online:

Liverpool are not yet close to signing Barcelona youngster Adama Traore.

Reports in Spain had claimed that the forward could be flying into England as soon as today to finalise a deal with the Reds, but Anfield sources have dismissed these out of hand.

Traore is widely expected to be leaving the Nou Camp this summer and has been linked with a host of clubs, including Bayern Munich.

The 19-year-old has only made one appearance for the first team at Barcelona and with the relegation of their second team to Spanish football's third tier, he is keen for a loan move away in search of more competitive football.

While Traore is not on the brink of a Liverpool move, the Anfield club are understood to be monitoring his situation.

There's a rumour that Everton are in for him although don't know how serious it is. Apparently Deulofeu put in a good word. It would be smarter move to join us as we really lack wide players at the moment and would see plenty of game time.

I don't know much about him. Is he any good?

I think Liverpool are a good team for him to develop. They are thin up front as usual and relying on young talents; I think Adama will have plenty of playing time.

Rodgers is in a make/break season, not the ideal circumstances to play a talent the club is not at all invested in

I disagree with you as I rather believe Liverpool wouldn't benefit for Adama's development. They've a lot of offensive players like Firminho and Coutinho on his position, Adama must go to a club where he can be a starter.
