Thought Januzaj has played very well so far this season, much better than the last. The logic of this loan deal escapes me.

Some shitty business by Man Utd, a terrible board. Seems like they are surrendering EPL to Man. City and I doubt they can do much in UCL.

Don't think so, Worst we can become is Arsenal...To become Liverpool we'll have to finish outside of top 4 for years and even then we'd have enough money to buy our way back..

That seem probable tbh ,you will probably win some trophies down the road but right now it seem that Man City & Chelsea are the top 2 clubs for the next few years

I dont know that you'll be capable buying your way back because every club in the EPL now has sizable buying power, some more so than yourselves, therefore allowing English clubs to hold onto or demand inflated fees for their players(Stones). While abroad powers now exist that did not when United was at the top of the sport, representing hefty competition for non English players beyond the obvious top tier clubs in Barca, Real, & Bayern.

Competition for top players is more fierce than ever and unlike Spain, Germany, or France clubs in the EPL do not have a plethora of domestic talent to fall back on to defend against inflated market prices.

I.e. United spent 30m for Shaw while Paris paid little more than that for Aurier and Kurzawa combined. Or, United spent 80m on Martial while Monaco spends 15m for Benardo Silva or Bayern spends 20m for Coman. Tomorrow English clubs will be throwing 60 or 70m at Kane while Lacazette and Fekir go for 40-50m to Real, Barca, or PSG. Etc.

Essentially you'll be spending 2 and 3 times a players value to field teams that aren't as talented or prolific as rosters your continental competition construct through wisely identifying and recruiting domestic talent.

I'm not too worried about Chelsea but City's front 4 takes them to the next level...

Selling clubs won't have different prices for English and non English clubs...It all depends on whether the club is willing to sell(ie.Darmian for a reasonable fee)..and getting back to winning the PL will be tough but the only club that's better than us at the moment is City and they got so far ahead of us by spending money this summer..

They already do. Look at what Martial went for versus Kondogbia, Carrasco, and Kurzawa who are all better players. And before you reply that they're 2-3 years older, that doesn't justify that difference in fees given they're all promising talents in their own right with more experience.

Both Chelsea and City have been better than United in recent years, especially on the transfer market.

So if PSG came in for Martial now than price would be lower for them?, Clubs will ask higher price if buying club is rich and willing to pay the money(ie. desperation) but once things settle down and we start to do well than the we can purchase players on our own terms..Other rich European clubs have also been ripped off in the past(Illaramendi?) so the problem of higher price is not specific to english clubs..

PSG went after Kurzawa whose also a highly regarded young talent and got him for a 4th of what United are paying for Martial. Nasser wasn't willing to go past 25m.

Carrasco was Monaco's best attacker last season and went for 20m, while Kondogbia went for 40m. The three of them landed in France, Italy, and Spain respectively yet Martial almost cost as much as their combined fee and you don't think prices aren't being inflated for English clubs?

Hell, look at what Bayern paid for Coman versus what United are paying for Martial. Both French, the same age, relatively unproven but being bought for their potential. One went for 20m, the other 80.

It's clear.

Martial is an anomaly and nobody knows why we're paying so much for him so it's ridiculous to use him as a benchmark.Kurzawa is a fullback and there's a ceiling on how much clubs want to spend on that position. You cannot use these two incidents to say all English clubs will get ripped off forever and rest of the rich clubs in Europe will always land bargains. Kondogbia went for 40m because he was not a last minute panic buy and there weren't many clubs fighting for his signature(just like how we signed darmian for 18 million)..
