Yeah, I found it kinda odd they spent that money on someone of his profile.He's nothing like De Jong. More of a box to box player that likes to go up and score goals. Nowhere near the brain and passing ability of De Jong.
They seemed to have been trying to play him in the FDJ role but he hasn't been great at all. I do wonder if Ajax is going to bet on Ryan Gravenberch eventually to take FDJ's role eventually, as I've heard nothing but good things about him.
