No,if he ever play for us it will be as AM
He rarely goes to penalty area ,and most of his shots are from outside the penalty area .nevermind AM is his natural position

He can play Messi's position to an extent since half the time messi is in midfield on the RW but it'd be more like iniesta on the LW because as you said he is a midfielder not a forward.

Alem role is more like Iniesta tbf ,different style and needless to say different level but he is that kind of AM who can be used as RW when needed but not the opposite

Yup, Alen on the LW will consist mainly of sending in crosses/through from outside the box on the wing/ long balls switching up the play along with drifting into the hole acting like an AM, not much of messi's other role as a surrogate CF.

They look good right now but their was a period they kept giving the ball away and that's what cost them the goal.

Great pass by Halilovic!

Weaker game had to come, and it was today. It has to be said Gijon was completely horrible today and Alen didnt see the ball much. In first half he got one dangerous shot, and had 2 more solid actions and moves, but more mistakes and lost balls then in previoues games. Just a reminder to him that he needs to strengten up physically, today he got outmuscled in one challenge far to easily.

He is Sportings main player and most talented one, but the team and especially midfiled is to mediocre...

His technical abilities are already world class, his decision making is improving steadily but its about time he looks to start strengthening up like Messi/Neymar/Iniesta before him.

Bilbao at home is in the top 3 of most difficult games in Spain, even Barça's best 11 struggle there. A weak performance was to be expected. I'm glad he had some good moments, incosistensy at that age is a certainty, especially for a player like him.
