Obviously not 200m

Imagime messi breaks his leg in the World cup. Would you not want compensation? at least have his wages paid until he's back. AT LEAST.

What the national coaches are doing is taking the car from his garage without even asking permission. They will then use the car for ten days and abandon it in a field without any petrol left in the tank. We then have to recover it, but it is broken down. Then a month later they will come to take your car again, and for good measure you're expected to be nice about it

The point I was making is that your cars are broken all the time. You can blame the driver but he didn't break it, he merely drove it. Your cars break themselves, regardless of who the driver is.

But MY point was, if the international managers pick up ours, or any other teams players.. use them in a match and they sustain an injury, does anything need to be done? or is it just "one of those things"

(serious point by the way) Be that Alex Oxlade, or Luis Suarez, or Lionel Messi.

Serious question - who are you going to blame if one of your players takes up boxing in his free time and gets his nose broken by his opponent?

Your players are not required to play for their country, they do so by their own volition. Pretty stupid to blame the international FA.

Finally, a good point. The players themselves choose to take up International duty, and it's not something they're contracted to do. Nice.

Might explain why Scholes/Giggs played until late 30's, hardly any games for Wales, and Scholes retired early. Lucky United.

wouldn't work well they're would then be even more selection By who they play for rather than how good they are.

Probably the best answer. You see - not a wind up thread, I'm only asking ffs.

:) cheers PaulTaylor

What do people discuss here ?

The players who participate in FIFA matches (and even in the training sessions leading up to a FIFA match) are covered by insurance, which is basically an accident insurance with FIFA paying premiums. In the case of a player getting injured during an official FIFA match, the club is compensated for it up to a max. amount of roughly 20.000 € per day / 7 mil € per year for the time of injury based on the players' wage.

For example, after Khedira got injured (cruciate ligament rupture) in an int. match, FIFA paid 2.5 mil € to Real as compensation.

Seems like his recovery is going well so far. Already doing some straight-line running in training.
