Hleb should have stayed at Arsenal where he was somewhat highly regarded and was considered first team material. He did well there with Flamini (who left for greener pastures and rarely plays as well) and the injury prone Rosicky.

I don't know what happened to him once he came to Barca. I just feel bad for the guy because he's back here and training with the others but it's been put out into the ether that there isn't a place for him on the team. He doesn't want to leave on loan again, so why not keep him around and let him play when needed? If this proves to be another injury filled season for Iniesta (God forbid) surely we could use the help.

"I don't stop insisting that Cesc should return to Barca and he doesn't stop insisting that he is very happy at Arsenal and with Arsene Wenger. I will keep boring him until he changes his mind. If in the end he listens to me, I think it would be great for Barcelona."

Hleb now:

"I stay in touch with Cesc a lot and it's hard for me to judge what he should do. He is a very good player who must make his own decisions about his future. But I would advise him to stay."

'When you mostly sit on the bench, winning titles brings very little joy, while getting to the last eight of the Champions League with Arsenal was unforgettable. I regret my move from London, but unfortunately nothing can be done about it now.'

He was an idiot for thinking he could unseat Messi and simply walk into the current best team in the world. He deserves this. I'm happy for him and hope he enjoys his 6 titles (which he didn't earn)

note: I'm not mad at the fact that he left, but the way in which he did. He illegally met with people from Inter Milan on the eve of our game with AC Milan, then had his agent threaten to use the webster ruling if we didn't sell him to Barca. Classy guy.

I don't think he has watched the euros and World Cup.

He really is a twat, isn't he.

Hleb is very hard to enjoy. He had a spat too when he wasn't named in the side for the European final in Rome. He just does not get what Pep wants.

Read an interview from Hitzelsperger (former Stuttgart captain) today, who said that Hleb wasnt really willing to integrate himself into the team. He stated that Hleb totally acted like someone who came from the worlds best club to some farm team. At one point they had to stop him attacking one of the doctors.

I think it's because he's worshipped like a hero in his home country so being a small fish in a big pond brings out the worst in him. That, or he really is just an arsehole.
