I mean the same can be said about Gordon, Tonali, Guimaraes.
They have very good players, but kind of stucked in the middle of nowhere instead of completing the squad.

They would be stupid to not secure him long term or get at least some cash back to balance their FFP out when he leaves. He's not "stuck", but whoever wants him needs to pay up - maybe even above 100M. But maybe only 2-3 clubs would even consider that and no one would pull the trigger. It seems like all the markets have cooled down, not many players will go for anything above 100M in the nearest years - market has changed, anybody could take Frenkie for free or Pogba etc. The days were players like Joao went for above 100M are behind us for a while, or anybody paying big cash for a player like Leao - clubs are more cautious now.
Just look at Mbappe, RM gave an arm and a leg for him and he produces nothing, absolut shit.

For us? No, luxury player. Sure I would love to have him on LW because he's helluva fun to watch - technical af etc. But he isn't effective day in and day out... we can't splurge on him, we better secure a WC striker and a decent winger backup. We can come back to Isak in 2 seasons, when he has 1 year left - he'll still be "young". But no, I don't want us paying 100ish million for him - we're much better of spending such cash on Gyö and a wingback + winger.
Also, Marmoush is actually doing even better last month - we should maybe take a chance in him, can play both LW and ST.
Newcastle got screwed with the ffp amendments, otherwise they could have built a squad to stay top 4.
Bad for them as although an oil club, they were signing strategically unlike the rest of the big Premmers.
