I'm not pleading , it was "Oh please, get of your high horse" kind of please. Why would Lyon sell to PSG? They can get the same kind of money from plenty of other clubs. Not to mention that PSG has the FFP on their back.

It isn't a high horse, it's reality. High Horses are more so associated with "Royals" or whatever you call yourselves. Anyhow, to answer your question; PSG has more resources than Arsenal or Valencia(I.e. Larger transfer fee, better wages), can guarantee UCL football, and PSG has a good relationship with French clubs in regard to the transfer market. Aulus himself has pleaded with PSG to focus their recruitment in France as to funnel money back into Top flight French football, etc.

That's a nice but kinda sad thing at the same time. It's nice that they help other French clubs financially by buying their players for a perhaps higher fee , but still sad because it means being poweless against PSG.

I don't know, seems to work out for everyone involved. PSG gets first choice on a lot of promising young talent, French clubs get great fees in return to recycle back into recruitment/development, French players get to stay home.

The only reason youd choose PSG is for a slice of that oil, ligue 1 is pretty poor he might want more than just money. Likely change sometime soon if said strategy by Juvens works though, more distribution of money, thats all it really comes down to these days.

PSG has just a big a chance to win the CL as any English club, thats for sure.

Forgetting that an english team just won it 3 years ago, yeah almost no chance. Likely PSG could beat Chelsea, think the league is still better overall. More challenge, fans, exposure and outside PSG, wages. How many people here thinks Lacazette would choose PSG over Arsenal or Chelsea if both offered the same wage?

money isn't the only factor. Lacazette wants and needs to play. The euro 2016 is coming so whichever club offer him the most trust as a starter will get him.
That is, if they are ready to pay upside of 40 mil, 'cause Aulas doesn't need to sell.

The stats don't back that up, in the last 10 years 7 times english teams have made it in the final more than any league. PSG can't make it to the semi finals.

Stats from ten years ago are irrelevant.

How teams have looked this season is more relevant than the other nine combined and PSG has as good if not better team than any English side.

There has been one English team in final the past four finals is another way to look at it and that team was the luckiest team going and a poor side.

Man Utd could do well with getting Lacazette. Falcao gone. Van Persie might leave. Chicharito is not starter material. They have Rooney though, but it's only Rooney who more often than not seem to be playing in other positions anyway.

I wonder if there is any truth to the rumour going round now that PSG have reached an agreement to sign him.

Get French Football News can exclusively reveal that sources have informed us that PSG and Lyon have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alexandre Lacazette.

This sensational deal includes a loan back to Lyon for the 2015/16 season. The player has, according to our source, agreed to a five year contract with the Ligue 1 champions, which means that when he returns to PSG in the summer of 2016, he will have four years remaining on his deal.

It is our understanding that the broad-brush transfer agreement was reached on Thursday in a meeting in Paris. Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas, PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi, agent David Venditelli and Alexandre Lacazette were all present.

Sources tell us that Alexandre Lacazette was therefore absent for a period of time on Thursday from Clairefontaine as the French national team continued to prepare for their friendly match vs Belgium. This absence was explained away by Lacazette who claimed to “be feeling unwell” to the rest of the team. In reality, he was on his way to Paris. Didier Deschamps was informed of the actual reason for his absence and gave his go-ahead for Lacazette to make the meeting.

The only other person that Lacazette is understood to have informed about the meeting was Lyon and France team-mate Nabil Fékir. The details of the fee and contract agreement will follow, but an agreement in principle has been reached. Alexandre Lacazette to PSG.

Such a deal fundamentally pleases all three parties. Jean Michel Aulas gets to keep Lacazette for the forthcoming 2015/16 campaign and the French international will play Champions League football for Lyon, as well as playing for his current side in their new stadium, the Grand Stade OL. PSG’s recruitment takes a more pro-French player angle, which is something that Laurent Blanc and Nasser Al Khelaifi have been hoping to achieve, but the manager will not have an added selection headache upfront either. Instead of having Lacazette, Ibrahimovic and Cavani at the club all at the same time, Ibrahimovic and Cavani will continue at PSG, with the Swede bowing out when his contract expires in 2016. Lacazette will then take over.

As for the player, Lacazette is set to receive a substantial wage rise and play for a team that can challenge for the Champions League.

While it is our understanding that certain specifics are still to be finalised, an agreement is in place for the transfer.
