Alexis Sanchez

He was ok, still not perfect but he was alright... Managed to get an assist and almost scored a beauty, I hope he keeps on improving...

Don't bother, plenty of our players do it, and while that's doesn't justify Alexis doing (and overdoing it sometimes like today) he's still the one who will get the flak for it...

Because he's the worst of them. Only Pedro, Cesc and Alves are on a similar diving level.

Actually I think Alba comes first in terms of play acting... But as I said, that doesn't make it right, the thing is that he already built a reputation and is getting punished for it... Like we saw today he milks contact (or tries to, hahaha) but when you look at his recent performances he has cut it a lot compared to earlier in the season...

Anyway, while play acting is no small issue, I think we should be at least a little relieved that he is showing some improvement in his football playing...

You're right, I forgot about Alba.

I thought he had a decent game right until the point where he resorted to his playacting. Gets a club a bad rep.
In short: stupid.

Yeah, it was stupid from him although Alvaro probably was guilty of being more stupid in that incident...Never helps the team to overexaggerate that sort of contact and certainly doesn't help his already weakened reputation

Still, I liked his play from the match, a very solid performance and very nearly pulled off a golazo with that chip...Yet, I felt like we saw more of Alves on that right side than Sanchez for good portions of the match which begged the question of where he had disappeared to

With three assists in the last two league games, making it ten in total this season, Alexis is the team’s third highest provider, behind Iniesta and Messi

The player who has received most assists has been Leo Messi- who’s scored from six passes coming from the Chilean

Alexis Sánchez is enjoying some great form right now – having grabbed two goals and provided the passes for two others in the team’s last couple of league games against Mallorca and Zaragoza. The Chilean is now the team’s third highest provider alongside Cesc, with 10 assists behind Iniesta and Messi, with the Spanish midfielder on 18 and the World number One on 15.

5 in the league, 4 in Europe and 1 in the Cup

The man who has benefited most from Alexis’ assists has been Leo Messi, who has scored from 6 chances laid on by the Chilean, with Cesc (2 – against Mallorca), Alba (1 –against AC Milan) and Thiago (1- against Zaragoza) scoring from the others. Alexis has provided 5 assists in the league, 4 in Europe and 1 in the Cup. The figures are especially notable because Alexis has played just 2,214 minutes compared to Messi’s 3,870, Iniesta’s 2,928 or Cesc’s 2,682.

Seven goals so far

As well as his seven assists, Alexis has also chipped in with seven goals so far this season – against Benfica, Cordoba (2), Getafe, Deportivo and Mallorca (2), to take his total since he arrived at the Camp Nou in the summer of 2012 to 22 in 79 games.

Assists have always been quite a sketchy stat since there is no clear definition of what makes one and there's no "official" count... Last week MD also reported he was third in the team in terms of assist, but according to some other sites Fabregas is above him... In fact, UEFA only credits Sánchez 2 assist as opposed to the 4 reported in other places... And after a quick recount, I think Fabregas is still ahead of him...

Still, I find positive that he is helping the team in one way or the other and that he is contributing in attack... If he could add some goals here and there to complement those assist that'd be just great...
