Alexis Sanchez

By far our most improved player from last season. Alexis has been playing very well, and not just because of his goals.
The contrast between Neymar, Alexis vs Pedro is quite saddening for the latter.

If we don't have Suarez, Aguero, Di Maria or Reus joining us than there is no sense in selling Pedro if we don't get at least 20M for him - who will you replace him with if not for the players I've mentioned. But, Pedro should have got the chance to play #9 when Messi was injured - I still think he would do a great job.

If he could use his left foot he'd be a world class player.

Was surprised when he was subbed as he was probably our best player on the pitch.

Alexis Sanchez is the perfect example of what a difference confidence can do for a player. Last year he looked like an average player who just wasn't good enough for Barcelona and would not have been missed had he been sold. This season he is one of our best players and is really staking a claim to cement that right spot for the foreseeable future.

Indeed. Who would have known 9 months ago that he'd be playing so well now?

We probably won"t see the best Alexis till second half of next season, if you ask me. There's been improvement, confidence wise as already mentioned. More succesful dribbles, intensity, penetrating runs, more involvement: notice how others are more keen to play him the ball, this because he is getting more cemented. But he still lacks composure, to do the easy things like a simple pass/assist, more alertness and tactical discipline, even more team understanding. This tiki-taka thing needs to become a secondhand thing to him. It's gonna take time for him I fear, and most don't have the patience. Maybe the team will. Who knows. He will get there I sense, but it will not be overnight. Sure you could argue he has had enough time, and there's nothing wrong with that statement, but if you ask me patience and support will be keyfor him, he already has the hunger and earnestness to make it. This team is a feat for any great player, not any less for an up and coming young blood like Alexis.
@ Darthvader Close enough. Prepare for the sex to fully come this january.

@ZenI You're right i don't wanna sell Pedro either. I would have preferred if we kept Villa and sold Pedro for a good amount last summer though.

Ah, I remember last year when people were calling for his throat, what a waste of 35M etc., etc.,
I'm glad I stood by this guy. Finally, out of his shell! :)

Great game. His pass to Montoya before Neymar's goal was awesome.
By the way, he recovered (6) balls against Celtic, [his 2nd best after 7 vs Granada this season].

Most balls recovered against Celtic: Pique 7 - Busquets 7 - ALEXIS 6 - PEDRO 5 - Xavi 5 - Masche 4.
