can you be a little more specific please.
to help you i remember
1(the 3nd) in the ch.l.final 3-1 vs MU
2 (3nd and 4rth) in the 5-0 against real,in a game we were dominating anyway.
1 in the 1-1 first leg of the super cup 2012
and 1 vs arsenal in london in 2011.
if you remember more enlighten me please....

I'm not gonna be involved in the Villa vs Alexis thing. But to add to your list:

Winning a penalty at Bernabu in 2011 (1-1 both penalties)
Scoring 2 times on Milan (1 crucial 3-0 goal last season)

Not that any comparison is fair, but if you don't consider Villa a big game player, then you must be either blind or you hate Villa.

And we need big game players. There is where their transfer fee is justified. Not players who can score against the mighty cartagena which we have been doing for a while and so far sanchez has proved to be everything than that.

i never said villa is not a big game player.
read this again

Villa was a big game player that is a difference. I could care less if sanchez scores braces against cartagenas and mallorcas, if in big matches he disappears and every move ends at his feet.
Villa scored in most classicos he started, scored in the ucl final, scored in many league games
to see why i make that comparison.
so in conclusion we have 3 goals(2 of them practically not big goals) for villa in classicos againt 2 wining goals for alexis.
3 big moments for villa (2 goals and a penalty) in ch.l against 1 (the penalty with psg).
considering barca (as a team) struggles anyway in big matches the last two years and the fact that alexis is not that close to the posts as villa used to be, i cant see a big difference so that villa was untouchable and alexis almost useless.no way....

We have a big game player in neymar, he's performed in every big game he's played, including a sub appearance where his play might well have sealed our QF birth in the UCL. We have a sometimes big game player in Pedro, he scores in a lot of big games hasnt really played in any big games this season though.

Consider this:

In Villa's 3 seasons at Barca, yes even including the middle season where he missed almost the entire year; and also including the last season, where he was getting back into the game and was mostly a bench player; Villa has 26 UCL appearances, scoring 8 goals and contributing 3 assists.

For contrast, Alexis has appeared in 21 UCL games in his 3 seasons at Barca, with this one being his 3rd and still not over, yet he has scored 3 goals and assisted 3.

In the UCL, where Alexis is needed more, he is significantly worse pretty much across the board in every single statistical category vs his contribution in La Liga.

Yes i've realised this he kinda sucks in the cl maybe its nerves but pedro is probably the better choice.

Here's another telling stat for consideration.

Neymar has appeared 7 games in the UCL, in this his first season that is also still not over. Yet in those 7 games, Neymar has matched the career output of Alexis in his 21 appearances in the UCL. Neymar also has 3 goals and 3 assists.

Neymar's performance in the UCL is actually superior in almost every single statistical category vs his contribution in La Liga.

Pretty telling.

Neymar playing CF against an absolutely terrible Celtic side puts those stats heavily in favour of him in league vs CL.

But the Game vs Man City is also very telling, Alexis and Neymar played in the same position with the same circumstances around them (Both played against 10 men for about the same amount of time) and Neymar reaked havoc and got an assist while alexis could do nothing.

Neymar came on against a tired and more open Man City, he was better than Sanchez but never wreaked havoc.

They still played mostly with 8 men behind the ball, and I have a penchant for hyperbole but he was constantly moving around providing fluidity in attack and providing smart passes which eventually lead to the nail in the coffin goal. Sanchez himself had a couple of chances where he was granted enormous space but he didnt do anything with it.

This Alexis thing won't end pretty. Can't we just enjoy his massive improvement from last season? He's the Liga top scorer for us and yet we're looking at stats from somewhere else. He's adapting very well in our team, yes it's taking a bit long to do but he's been on an amazing run of form and he's almost a reliable scorer in Liga in every game.

But for those who love stats and keep looking for Alexis' numbers in CL, out of Messi' goals in Liga, this season, only 4 were scored when Alexis isn't on the pitch (Hattrick on Valencia and last goal against La Real). Maybe this shows that stats are nothing in football.

I'm not saying get rid of him anymore or anything he's proven he's good enough to be a starter in la liga but I think he'd be better put to use as a super sub in the ucl or atleast if he starts not at the expense of neymar.
