Netherlands certainly has weaknesses, but so does Chile. Both beat Spain because of superior tactics and an out-of-form keeper. Could go either way. Nod to Netherlands who will win the aerial battles.

I was wrong. As soon as I saw the first 5 minutes, clearly Netherlands was set up to win counterattacking. No chance for Chile, nothing to press with Holland letting them have the ball.

He had a good game. That nutmeg was awesome. But chile's coach fell for van gaal's trap. He outsmarted the opposition again.

He has the most dribbles per game and in the whole competition. Awsome. Too bad Vargas is shit and Vidal couldn't play

What game were you watching? outside his nutmeg all he did was dive looking for penalties and ask for cards, as did Vargas. Kind of disgracefull.

Also, Blind fouled him so damn many times. He should have been shown a yellow card already in the first half, but the ref did that only during the second

He was good. When he is allowed to drop deeper and get on the ball early, he can cause problems for opponents. He can see the field better, has more space to beat a player, mostly with what is becoming his trademark move, that turn with the back to the defender, and has less responsibility to be a pure scorer, but instead play his game and allow the goal scoring opportunity to come to him instead of being forced to actively look for it.

What I've been saying for over a year, if you allow him to play the right position for him, his skillset will shine.

Nothing will change for Liverpool: They'll lose a player who nutmegs opponents and dives but they will be welcoming a new one too :pep:
