I never liked Alexis. Even when he stopped being complete garbage this last season. Him and Fabregas leaving are the best things I could have hoped for.
I can't agree with 'selling fabregas was a mistake' he was practically of no use in barca. And Suarez, you aren't sure if he is going to bite or not, but if he doesn't he is probably going to score a lot of goals for us, that guy is fighter, he is hungry for the victory every game he plays.Although I'm agreeing with you that both of them never were key players at Barca, I think selling Alexis will be the second big mistake after selling Fabregas, especially when Suarez is banned till October (and probably half the season after the next bite...). Good thing about Suarez is that he has the same fighting attitude on the pitch. He's too expensive though. Changing half the squad can't be the ultimate solution to make the team work, again. Alexis exploded last season, Fabregas offered many assists - no matter how much his form decreased in the second half of the season. Now Rakitic came for a reasonable price at least, Suarez won't. Will be the second epic transfer fee after Neymar and we'll see if they both will pay off one day.
Nonetheless, Alexis has had his struggles, but played a very good season and a solid World Cup, too, so every club would be happy to have him. Unless Barca, but we should get used to others laughing at our transfer policy.
