I think his was a confidence problem mainly(with a Barca jersey).
Hope this WC and the game with Spain specially, will finally remove that issue

Those "tello" and "fcbdna" guys must feel pretty stupid at the moment...
Alexis can do everything.
He is BRILLIANT without the ball
He scores spectacular/unusual golazos which win the games.

Seriously, how many players can score with their BACK?
Those rocket shots and chips

He is complete. He even can HEAD the ball and score it into the net
Not even mentioning THOSE assists

DAT workrate. Surely you just now he will be A LEGEND when his first action in a Barca shirt was taking the ball away from Crynaldo

Believe in Alexis, and he will deliver it. There is so much more I'd like to post, but there is an image and video limit

How will we destroy parked buses with this formation?
With solo actions and shortpassing through the ground against a bus consisted of 10 players?

No wide players in attack at all?
Good luck with this formation.

 Laughing along right with you bro. You didn't even mention the primary problems with this formation:

1) Not gonna happen. Neymar is not going to be benched. It's economic; Neymar and Messi are the teams cash cows.
2) Defense- OMG counterattack the space down the right, with Higgy, Messi, Iniesta leaving acres behind them. Jordi Alba will pull his hamstring in the first two games chasing the opponent with no help.

Frankly, with "saving himself" Messi playing central and needing to shoehorn Neymar in for economic reasons, hard to come up with a system that works. Messi would be best behind a striker, but then you have to cover for Messi defensively.

-----------Alexis-------------
--Iniesta Messi Neymar----
----Busquets Rakitic--------
Alba Pique Bartra Montoya

Don't think Sanchez or Neymar is the man to have in front of Messi, which means you have to rotate Iniesta/Alexis/Neymar into the two outside midfield positions if you buy a striker.

Switch Iniesta and Neymar and it's done. Iniesta plays well on the right, Neyney doesn't.

I think a 352with Messi as an AM would be the only formation to take advantage of the best qualities of both Sanchez, Neymar, and Messi at the same time. We could potentially use Cuadrado in that formation given or CBs were quick enough to cover wide. I don't know if it would workout playing Iniesta with Messi in the middle defensively, however. Perhaps Rakitic could take on more of a CM position while Messi roams free in the upper mid. I've always been afraid of a 3-5-2 in the past, but I can't think of another way to get the best out of Ney and Sanchez who look so damn good in the WC.

-------------------------------------------Neymar/Sanchez------------------Sanchez/Higuain-----------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Messi---------------------------------------------------------
------------------Alba--------------------------Raktitic/Iniesta------------------------------------------------Cuadrado/Montoya/Sanchez?

  at ppl suggesting 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formations. As if we havent got ***** enough on counters. We dont have the right players to make those formations work.

90% of the time we get hit on counters because of our wingbacks being pushed up too high. In theory, a 3-5-2 would relieve some of the defensive responsibilities of the wingers. But you are correct, we probably don't have the type of versatile, mobile defenders required to pull it off.

After Puyol, Valdes and Cesc... I would seriously burst into tears if the board decide to sell him. We need him. Mainly for those rocket shots and chips, for those dribbling and off the ball movements....He is simply brilliant.
