Quite plausible that Neymar is the fastest one - he is really quick in both acceleration and topspeed + it is much easier to acknowledge how fast footballplayers are when seen live, than in tv.

It doesn't matter how long his legs are, Messi could flat out burn him in a race and it's no contest. Busquets and Gomes are both listed as being faster and they're well known to be total snails. No way is Busquets one of the fastest players on the team, while Messi is middle of the pack.

it can be real .. But top speed is almost irrelevant in football if it's not equipped with a great acceleration .. If you need 10 meters to reach top speed than no one is going to notice it because in most cases you would not be able to reach it.
