Gomes has no way back to our team. He scored a great goal in a game Everton lost 3-1 and where he had a giveaway leading to a Wolves goal.

We have better midfielders than him and thats without counting de Jong and (maybe) Rabiot coming next season.

All we can hope is that he impresses enough in the EPL to earn a move to Everton or another club so that we are not stuck with another last minute nominal loan on our hands.

I don't think anyone thinks he still has a future at Barca including him. I think he was pretty happy to get out of there if I'm honest.
