In my opinion he has plenty of skills. He has had 2 very good games in a row and is improving his game as well as adapting more to the new team.
You guys calling Sanches a better midfielder and a creative force, you have no idea what you are saying. Sanches has now, probably, his first year of senior football. He was criticised in our media for missing a lot of passes in the midfield. Right now, you're comparing a guy who was pivotal in Valencia, spanish league, to a guy who played 6 months for the A team in Benfica. And yet you criticise the influence of Jorge Mendes in the buy of Andre Gomes, and talk about a kid who had in his half-year of senior football a 35M euros transfer to a giant called Bayern, and calling him " levels above Gomes". You know his agent is the same man you all say only sells overrated players?
Just a thought, but I bet you haven't watched any Renato Sanches games except for the Euros, and haven't watched much since that because he hasn't played a lot.

The Mendes propaganda is amazing. Sanches in Barça....dear lord, i rather watch Guti naked. Sanches is not fit for barça style. Never.

True but Alexis was missing easy chances. Gomes is causing some brutal turnovers which can end up costing us a goal. If he had scored a few goals by now sure those mistakes are overlooked but he hasn't done that so mistakes are magnified.

We bought him for 35 million folks NOT a 135 million.
35 million is the going rate for prospects and decent players nowadays.

I'm all for defending our own players and hoping they become good.
But I don't understand the constant defending of Gomes.. do people think we just do it for the fun of it.
I've seen Gomes play 28 games for Barca in which he has lost possession, contributed hardly anything in attack and been quite weak defensively.
The games for Valencia where he was good we also saw, but Valencia play a completely different way to us.
