You're right that maybe he should have kept some of those observations to himself, but everything Pirlo said is true. As the game wore on, Italy achieved total midfield domination. It would have been unfair if they had lost.

He chipped not just to score that penalty, but to win the shootout psychological battle. The man understands the game, maybe better than anyone else in the world.

I don't think that's him, no other players follow him and that's the first I've ever heard of that account. The closest thing Xavi has to his own twitter account is the one for his campus tour in the US (@CXHWT).
