Yes .. And Rickard played him a lot in busquets role as a defensive midfielder .. Guardiola even played him sometimes as a RW . talk about a complete midfielder

he played there even before the arrival of Fabregas .. sometimes we played with busqets - xavi - godjunsen ( or keita ) .. so we had to push iniesta to the side .. we controlled game playing that system .. because iniesta helped controlling the ball while still being a menace from the flank .
