is it just for the rest of this season he is promoted for
or is he now a 1st team player for next season

he's a first team, they were going to promote him later this season but injuries made that sooner.

if he does good while we are in need, it would be a huge boost for him, it could define the way he develops.

Good to see that he's been promoted, hes just as talented as Sakho in my opinion.

Be great to see him play tomorrow night

I'd rate the chances of that happening as pretty darn slim...But, had Pep started playing Andreu over the course of the last month, perhaps less slim...I can't fathom how Pep didn't wean Fontas into the rotation more by now

Fontas can potentially get a lot of playing time here at the end of the season if we beat madrid and then win the next two. If we beat madrid tomorrow and then beat osasuna and sociedad, we would only need to draw one of the remaining 4 matches to win the league. Fontas/Thiago/JDS/Barta/the rest of Barca B could get a lot of PT in those games.

Yup thats my thinking too unfortunatly. Maybe he's waiting for the less important games to integrate him

I think Pep has been looking at giving Gabi some minutes before Fontas gets in on the act. I'd like to see him given a chance, I'm sure he will do towards the end of La Liga. If we win tonight then maybe next weekend against Osasuna he could play?

After securing the title Pep should go with Fontas and Milito in the middle of the back 4. Play Afellay and Thiago for 90 minutes every game.

Good to see Fontas get a full match tonight, pity twas out of position but besides that goal twas solid enough from him

yeah, wasn't too bad... kind of hard to blame the goal on him as he doesn't play with pinto, who also fucked up on that goal. they were both thinking maybe the other will get it, that's when you know you fucked up... see if that was puyol he would make no hesitation, no nonsense, he would just clear the fucking ball like a beast... but that's an experienced i-own-dis-shit defender for you
