Fontas doesn't look comfortable defending with this sort of intensity, he makes very smart passes and keeps the offense flowing but doesn't seem to close players down well

Not bad overall from Andreu but sucks we couldn't see him as a defender...Just underscores how little quality Caparros has at his disposal in the midfield that a Barcelona defender is playing there...Zaragoza did similar with Piqué

Saw the game against Madrid today and Fontas was deployed as a DM again. Not a good showing on his part as he gave away the ball which directly led to Madrid's second goal. The manager couldn't have been pleased as Fonti was taken off at the half.

He barely even played for Mallorca. And when he played as a DM, he looked way out of his comfort zone.
